The Anointing of The Holy Spirit

I have watched my entire life as the unlearned have widdled away at the truth.

In my youth I grew up in the solitude of the Desert. I spent my days communing with our Lord and studying his Word. When I left the Desert and began to hear the things being taught in the Churches I was shocked.

It was amazing to me how they went about studying. They would take a verse from here, and a verse from there, paste them together, and form new scripture.

They would then take these newly formed scriptures and write them in a book which was nothing more than a new bible, altered to support their carnal views. Oh, they never entitled these millions of books "The Bible" but this is in fact where most began looking for truth.

I have watched as they expanded their minds with this perverted knowledge, to the point now that there is no life of God present.

2Ti 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

I know that what I am about to share here will be met with resistance, but it needs to be said. What I write here, I write from my experience with every Minister I have known.

This is not meant as an attack, it is simply a call to the Ministers to face the facts of their spiritual condition, a call for repentance, a plea for honesty, and the tearing down of the false image of themselves that they hide behind.

As a Minister, all I ask is this; as you read through this discussion, do not deny the truth in an effort to condone and justify your lack of spirituality.

I put a simple question before you all; why is it that those in the Ministry today can offer no more power than the unsaved heathen can?

Oh, you may have convinced others that the powerless performance you put on is really spiritual, but when the end result is nothing but an emotional high with no real change, my friends, something is rotten about that. Something is deceptive about that. Something is carnal about that.

God is calling all of us to repent of our hypocrisy. We have to stop telling lies. That's what it's called when you say you are anointed and you are doing nothing but working under the power of the flesh.

The truth is, I can take any unsaved man off the streets and put him behind most pulpits and get the same results that most Ministers are getting today.

If you do not believe me, invite me to your Church Pastor. We will make a list of any verifiable healing or life that has truly turned from sin.

After all the emotional hype has ended, I will place an unsaved man I take off the streets and train for one hour behind the same pulpit. In most pulpits across America, the unsaved man will get the exact same results.

I will now list and then discuss the carnal excuses I have personally heard Ministers quote in an effort to hide their true spiritual condition.

1. Prayers are not always answered, even Jesus had to lay hands on the blind man twice before he was healed.

2. Just because a Prophet says something that does not happen, this does not mean that he is not a true Prophet. We all have to learn as we grow in the gift God has given us.

3. Ministers should not be held to higher standards than the Sheep. We Ministers are flesh just like everyone else, and we sin too.

Discussion:

Mar 8:22-25
And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him. And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking. After that he put his hands again upon his eyes, and made him look up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

My first reply to those who say this is; o.k., now you go ahead and pray the second time when your first prayer is a failure. Did your second prayer do the trick? Of course not.

Now we will look at what really happened in this passage.

The first thing you will notice is that Jesus did not pray twice.

The second thing you see is that Jesus did lay hands on the mans eyes twice. Does this mean that Jesus had to give this man a second dose of the anointing before it was effective?

My first reply to this is harsh, but has to be said! Are you so ignorant that you would dare to think or say that the power of Christ was so limited that it couldn't accomplish the task the first time? That's ignorant carnal thinking.

What really happened here is that Jesus had spit in this mans eyes. After the man was healed he still had the spit in his eyes and this was blurring his vision. Jesus simply reached up and wiped the spit out of his eyes.

1. So when did the Holy Spirit become so ignorant that we began to believe that He didn't know how to write the best book?

2. Seeking wealth bankrupts spirituality.

3. Honesty is not the best policy, it's the only policy.
