Ansel Adams One of the greatest Landscape Photographers

As a keen photographer in the 1970´s I first came across Ansel Adams and can honestly say that a quick flick through one of his "Coffe Table" books and I was, for the first and probably only time in my life, truly inspired to create superb photography. Here was a man in the later years of his life who would wander about in the Yosemite Mountains with a large heavy Plate camera (the negatives measured 10 x8 inches) and capture the beauty and magnificence of nature. His true skill was taking these negatives to his small cellar lit only by a small lightbulb and, using his own blend of developing solution/fixer, could render such strong yet soft and subtle tones in the resulting prints. The combination of all these skills result in photographs that are breathtaking. If you don´t have one of these prints then shame on you!!
