My husband got an Ant Farm as a gag gift at an office Christmas party. (Apparently he hoards snacks and sweets in his office, and his office has developed an ant problem because the ants climb the outside of the office building up to his office on the second story and find a way into his office). Anyway, it turns out that we ended up regifting the ant farm to our two boys for Christmas. The ant farm has sat in it's box for the past 6 weeks, but now we are finally sending the little postcard in to "order" our live harvester ants to put into the ant farm. The ant farm we have is an illuminated gel ant farm with green gel, just like the one pictured. My toddler son is patiently waiting for our ants to arrive in the mail, and is telling everyone he sees that he has an ant farm. (I'm not even sure how he knows what ants are...but anyway, he's VERY EXCITED). I made this webpage because an ant farm is something that I never thought I would ever have or allow in my house. However, even I'm excited to get our live harvestor ants and put them into the Ant Farm Gel Colony. I'll keep you updated.
