Antivirus Testing for the best Antivirus product
I'm tired of people getting ripped off for anti virus that does not do the job correctly. I feel that you should get what you pay for and actually have a working computer after you spend your money.
Antivirus Proven for me and for you.
Hi guys just wanted to add a little topic. I have been doing research and testing on many antivirus products to get rid of those pesky yet creatively designed viruses that always come up on my customers PCs. I know most people say "AVG free for the WIN!" but honestly for virus removal and virus protection I find that it just wasn't good enough. I even had the company get the payed version for my testing and it still could not remove even simple worms and Trojans.gen.
So if you do not feel like reading about my testing the number 1 antivirus is Kaspersky Endpoint and Network Security Software

Spy Sweeper not the number 1 antivirus
Now here some stats I got from my hunnypot (def: "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honeypot_(computing)">. For spyware it really did the best which was concurrent with other websites. Yet this was only for SPYWARE. Trojans and the like it did great but for other types of malware, not so well. PC Resources used was 6% not scanning. In case you did not know Resources are what your computer has, Ram, processing power, network usage, ect... When i give a percentage i mean total resources. In the past with some antivirus such as norton 260 it was not uncommon for them to take up to 50% of the resources your computer had!
Norton the old Favorite | closest to the best antivirus
Norton: Well like others I have many problems with this product. Some swear by it. I used the internet security (2010) product to do the testing as the 360 version usually just causes TONS of problems with the OS. Test went decent and its firewall did well, problem was from a users view it would block EVERYTHING and continue to annoy you for every program you run. It took two hours and fifteen minutes to remove the viruses. I tested both in normal mode and safe mode. Normal modes, 47% of the viruses were removed and safe mode 89%. Now considering I had over 3000 traces of infections it did very well. 7% of computer resources used when scan was not running, 68% when scanning. It really is impossible to do any real work when its scanning. It simply just takes to much. Microsoft Word would be so slow that i would have to wait 10 seconds for my sentence to appear.
