The Beast From The Sea
As a Bible believing Christian I have been aware for some time of the passages in the Old and New Testaments warning of a supernatural being who will emerge into the world scene at some point known as The Antichrist,which will in turn lead the world into a great tribulation and bring the age we live in now to an end.
Where Did The Antichrist Come From?
Origin And Nature
The Antichrist(also known as Satan or Lucifer among many other titles) was an angel created by God.The name Lucifer means "Light Bearer" and we still use the term Lumen to describe a unit of light.As an angel in the heavens his duties were as a servant to God and a band leader who led worship and praise to The Lord.
Sadly,through pride he tried to take over God's position and become God which led to his fall from the heavens.
Read what the Bible says in the book of Isaiah.
Chapter 14 Verse 12-15:
"How you are fallen from heaven,
O Day Star,son of Dawn!
How you are cut to the ground,
you who laid the nations low!
You said in your heart,
I will ascend to heaven;
above the stars of God
I will set my throne on high
I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far north;
I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
I will make myself like the Most High."
At some point in time Lucifer was flung down to earth through pride.The supernatural powers that he possessed weren't diminished but became twisted and corrupted making him the being that he is now.

Rise Of The Antichrist On Earth.
When Will It Happen?.
Read this verse from the second letter of Thessalonians Chapter 2 Verse 3:
"Let no one deceive you in any way;
for that day will not come unless the falling away comes first,
and the man of lawlessness is revealed,the son of perdition."
This verse tells us that a falling away has to come first before the Antichrist appears.This Apostasy is now evident in many places.
Another factor that determines the time of the Antichrist is the Biblical account which places him on the earth for seven years prior to the return of Jesus Christ.
He is very likely alive now.
Also Read this verse from the second letter of Thessalonians Chapter 1 Verse 9-11:
"The coming of the lawless one by the activity of Satan will be with all power and with pretended signs and wonders and with wicked deception for those who are to perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
Again you see Apostasy in this verse.
This tells us in general that people will fall away from the Christian faith first.
Who Will He Be?
The first thing to bear in mind is,that he is already the God of this world and has been since the Fall Of Man.He will be a very privileged individual.
He will come from a determined bloodline which I suspect to be the Merovingian.This is a satanic and very dark bloodline which originated in Europe (probably France).
He will be a megalomaniac.One of the deepest (if not the deepest) desires of the Antichrist is to be worshipped as a God.
He will be supernaturally endowed in a way that no man has been before and will be able to do things that completely shock and fascinate people.
He will not be truthful.
He will attack and discredit the true God.

If you have not read alot on the subject, you will find this to be a very good, up to date book on the true power sources in government and the possible planned effort to bring in a New World Order. It's not really written with too heavy a hand conspiritorially, it mostly just presents the newest information on world government, NATO, advanced military weapons, Echelon, etc. The final 5 of 13 chapters are about the revived Roman empire and the anti-Christ. If you're already knowledgeable on the subject, I'd recommend the book "Hope of the Wicked".
