As we all know children learn by play so teaching them the time can be done in exactly the same way. Children love learning new things and most children soak up information like a sponge.

Learning the time can be even more fun if you have a character clock or watch for example a Disney Character or there favourite tv character of the moment.

Encourage them with the new character watch and let them know that the are growing up and are responsible enough to tell the time. Award them with there own watch making them feel that bit special and more excited to learn as its their own. A Cartoon character on the watch will add a bit more fun to the learning process. Please make sure the watch is not digital as this would defeat the whole reason for teaching the time

Explain that the two main hands on the watch are different. The longer one is the minute hand and the shorter one is for the hour. It could be even better if there is a second hand on the watch as they could then start with counting seconds.

Explain there are 60 seconds to a minute and 60 minutes to every hour and to keep track of the minutes on the watch they will need to count in fives. This also helps in learning their 5x table. Just practices in counting in fives try making it into a song. Children seem to learn better & quicker if something is in a song form.

Once your child has got the gist of all this try turning it into a quiz by asking them at certain times of the day for example what time is learning curve, just tell them the correct time and move on it when you go to school or have your dinner. If your child makes a mistake do not tell them off as this could upset them and stop the learning curve

The age range on this particular product is 18months plus but if your child is able to hold a crayon they should not have any problems with the aqua pen

What is really great about these Aqua Draw sets is that they can be used again and again. All you have to do is wait for the picture to dry out then you can start all over again.
