Anti-aging skin care with a difference

Do you have a basket full of anti-aging skin care products under your sink that you purchased but they did not live up to the hype? I did. When my husband's ex-wife told me about Arbonne, I thought, "Here we go again. I've tried so many different product lines and none of them are any better than the next." I, politely, blew her off.

A couple of weeks later she had been to visit her son (my stepson) and had a picture of our grandson to give to my husband and myself. When she came to the house, she mentioned Arbonne again, but I really didn't listen to her. After she left, my husband commented on how good she looked. You can bet I got on the phone immediately to find out more about the products.

I started using the products and immediately felt and saw a dramatic improvement in my skin. I told a few of my friends about the products. They fell in love with them also. That is when I decided to start an Arbonne business. The photo above is not me, but it could have been. This is just one example of the dramatic results that people get from using these products.

Let me tell you why Arbonne's products are different from the products that you have tried before:

1. They are botanically based. This means that they come from plants.

2. They are pH correct. There is a huge difference between pH balanced and pH correct. A swimming pool that is properly maintained is pH balanced. However, it is not usually very good for your skin. Your skin has an acid mantle that is designed to be the first line of defense for everything that you come into contact with. Arbonne's products actually strengthen your acid mantle.

3. They are hypoallergenic. In the United States, products are tested on a human panel and ranked on a irritability scale of 0-10. If a product scores less than a 4, a company is allowed to call it hypoallergenic. Arbonne will not release a product that scores above a 0.

4. They are dermatologist tested. Many companies claim that products are dermatologist recommended. What this actually means is that free samples were given to dermatologists who gave them to clients to try. Arbonne actually hires independent dermatologists to test our products.

5. They are never tested on animals. Not only does Arbonne respect the sensitivity of the animals, they recognize that just because a product makes my dog"s skin nice and soft, it doesn't mean it will do a thing for me.

6. They are formulated without any animal products or by-products. Have you ever been to a rendering plant? Rendering plants cook animal parts of roadkill, euthanized pets, and other such unsavory things. They skim off the fats that rise to the top and sell them to cosmetic companies for use in skin care products. By the way, the fragrance that is added to many products is there to cover up the stench that comes from using this. Arbonne doesn't use this.

7. They are formulated without mineral oil. Mineral oil is a by product of petroleum. It is the number one ingredient in most skin care products and has over 90 different names. (Google the ingredients of your current skin care products to check this out) Mineral oil is occlusive. That means that it acts like a coating on the skin not letting good things in or toxins out. There is also some recent research relating mineral oil and horomone imbalance.

8. They are formulated without dyes or fragrances. If you use a product from Arbonne and smell oranges, it probably has oranges as an ingredient.
