His First UK Interview
On February 18, 2009, it was announced that David would tour the United Kingdom supporting English band McFly on their "Up Close...And This Time It's Personal" tour. It began on April 21, 2009 and continued throughout April and May 2009.
On April 30, 2009, David made his first UK Television appearance, on the Paul O'Grady Show, performing "Crush" and chatting about American Idol and his music. His debut album was released there on May 4, 2009.

Listen to this... the winner HAS to sign w/ AI and the runner up gets to go where ever he wants and sign with who ever he wants. AI also keeps a portion of the winners money ($). The runner up gets to keep ALL his money ($).
Therefore, the runner up does a lot better in his music career. GO ARCHIE!!!!

David James Archuleta (born December 28, 1990) is an American pop singer-songwriter from Murray, Utah who was the runner-up on the seventh season of American Idol. Prior to Idol, Archuleta won the children's division of the Utah Talent Competition at ten years old which led him to other television singing appearances. When he was twelve years old, Archuleta became the Junior Vocal Champion on Star Search 2.
Archuleta's self-titled debut album was released on November 11, 2008 through Jive Records and it debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart. The album has sold over 725,000 copies in the United States and over 900,000 copies worldwide. (issue of November 29, 2008).
