A simple guide to help you look GREAT on your Wedding Day.

Preparing for the Big Day

3 Months before:
- make an appointment with your hairdresser to discuss and try out hair styles. If you're planing a big change such as colour or cut this is the time to do it.
- your hands are going to be on show so if your nails aren't looking as good as you'd like them to start having regular manicures.
- if you are a glasses wearer and are either planning to swap frames or change to lenses do it now so you get use to them.
- get your complexion looking it's best with monthly or bimonthly facials depending on your skin type. Don't have a facial during the week leading up to your wedding.

4 to 6 Weeks before:
- this is the time to try out a false tan to see how you like it, how it looks with your dress and how it will affect your make-up.
- now is the time to start experimenting with different make-up looks, you definitely don't want to leave it to your Wedding Day and don't do it any earlier unless you are certain your skin tone won't change.
- check out the different bridal magazines or even look to your favourite celeb for ideas.
- remember you should look like you only better. So, if you don't wear much make-up don't be tempted to pile it on and if you like your make-up strong don't opt for a soft natural look, you won't feel right on the day.
- if your are using a professional make-up artist on the Big Day have a trial so you feel confident and comfortable with your look. Now is the time for any fine tuning.
- if you decide to do it yourself, why not take advantage of the many cosmetic companies who offer free bridal makeovers. That way you can pick and choose colours, products and ideas that are best for you.

The texture has been specially formulated to effectively cover blemishes and red veins, yet is soft enough to work under the eyes without emphasising fine lines. Its unique creamy formulation glides on smoothly then transforms to a demi matte finish. The palette comes with a brush for precise application but you can also use your fingers or a make-up sponge.

I brought together these 3 beautiful shades to create a Modern Palette of eye shadows that would enhance our eyes no matter what the colour and take us though all of the seasons effortlessly.

The palest colour is called Shell. This is a beautiful pale pink shade. Use this on it's own as a wash of colour over your lids up to the brow bone to brighten and refresh your eyes. It is also the perfect base colour for a professional eye make-up look. The mid-shade is called Hyacinth, a stunning violet shade with a hint of shimmer, perfect for brushing over the lid and up to the socket line to give your eyes a pop of subtle colour. The darkest shadow of the three is Titanium, a gorgeous gray, especially chosen for its sheer texture. This means you can wear it as subtly or dramatically as you want - just simply layer to the intensity of colour you want. This shade is also ideal for defining your socket line or lining your lashes.

3 steps to stunning eyes:

You can wear each of the eye colours alone or blend them together for a more sophisticated look.

1) Apply the Hyacinth Shadow all over your eyelid up to the sock line.

2) Next sweep the Shell shade under the arch of your brow bone. When you look straight ahead both colours should blend together just above your socket line.

3) Now take the Titanium shadow and make a C shape in the outer corners to open up your eyes. Then, blend this shade lightly along the socket line, so the colour fades away at the inner corners. Take the pointy end of the applicator and smudge the Titanium half way along your lower lashes. Finish with Mascara.

Extra Tips:

If you want your eye make-up look to appear softer then apply the Shell Shadow first all over the eyes, from lash to brow. Then follow the steps as above.

If you want your colours to appear stronger then they can be used wet.
