Women Artists I Admire
Women Painters of the American West 1890 - 1945

Years ago, I attended an exhibition at the Autry Museum of Western Heritage located in the foothills of the San Fernando Valley, titled: "Independent Spirits - Women Painters of the American West, 1890-1945." It was a stunning exhibit of work by women artists mostly viewed in the shadow of Georgia O'Keefe. Included in the exhibit, O'Keefe, by comparison, was second rate in skill and talent.

As time permits, I will be adding online information about many of these artists and their wonderful work.
