ART for a cause

Cancer was the impetus for my recent journey into the art world.

Initially, painting (self taught), as a means of escaping the cruel reality, that a loved one had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. It then became a passion and an obsession.

My art (paintings, photography, digital creations), is focused on contributing to the fight against cancer.
Currently 100% of all my net sales proceeds are donated to the Canadian Cancer Society in honor of my mom who died of cancer jun 13, 2009.

My Escape

Many, many sleepless nights, contributed to many paintings (some okay and some not so good). Within the first 6 months, I held my first private showing, and through the support and generosity of my friends I sold over 80% of my paintings, and donated 100% of my sales to St Joseph's Health Foundation, to support cancer.

When you have a loved one that is suffering with cancer, you are overcome with a great sense of helplessness. For me, creating art with a focus on helping fight cancer, makes me feel a little bit less helpless.

My Cause

100% of what I make on my art is donated to help fight cancer

Any and all earnings from my lenses at Squidoo will go 100% to Cancer Research.

My ART Creations

100% of all my net sales proceeds are donated to help make cancer history.

My art is still evolving and I'm open to experimenting with all kinds of mediums and tools. From acrylic paintings, to photoshop digitially created images.

Feedback please

My First lens

I had 5 lenses started and nothing up. So I decided this is going up although it's not yet what I would like it to be.
Any advise on how to improve it would be much appreciated.

I look forward to any and all feedback with respect to this lens.
