Duane Keiser Bio
(Photo: Lisa Nipp, USA Today)
Duane is a painter from Richmond, Virginia. He has been doing a daily painting since December 10, 2004. In April of 2006, he began making the paintings less frequently in order to have more time for other projects. Most of his paintings are postcard-sized oil paintings which he sells on eBay. Occasionally he creates a painting that he calls an "oddment". They are $100 and are offered on a first-come first-served basis.
Duane is "the father" of the painting a day movement. It has encouraged many artists to diligently take up their brush, and has begun to show the art world how the internet can be used in the service of art.
