What is Atmega 128 microcontroller
All of Atmel's AVR microcontrollers possess a RISC core and I/O structure that provides maximum speed and a limited need for hookup to outside components.
A microcontroller is a self-contained computer chip used to run common electronic devices. Unlike a multi-purpose microprocessor, a microcontroller is simply and efficiently designed for a single function. In a typical modern home, dozens of items have microcontrollers, including the washing machine, the television, and the telephone.
The Atmega 128 is produced by the Atmel Corporation, a leading manufacturer of semiconductors, microcontrollers, RF devices, Flash memory drives, integrated circuits, and other devices used in computer architecture. Besides its large consumer reach, Atmel supplies computer components to the communications and aerospace industries, as well as the military. It is considered a market leader in smart card technology, and security systems in general.
The Atmega 128 is fully compatible with the Atmega 103, and replacing the latter is quite simple for the technologically inclined. The Atmega 128 CPU board is an 8-bit microcontroller that changes a Thin Quad Flat Package (TQFP) to a Dual Inline Package (DIP), thus modifying the housing of the included integrated circuits. The programmer is mounted on a thin board with IC components, and is fully upgradeable with an ISO programmer. The Atmega 128 EFA programmer is designed to combine with the Atmega 128 EFA wafer.

- X10 Protocol
- X10 is an international and open industry standard for communication among electronic devices used for home automation, also known as domotics.
- Modbus Protocol
- Some communication standards just emerge. Not because they are pushed by a large group of vendors or a special standards organisation.
These standards-like the Modbus interface-emerge because they are good, simple to implement and are therefore adapted by many manufacturers. Because of this, Modbus became the first widely accepted fieldbus standard. - EIB Protocol
- The European Installation Bus (hereafter referred to as "the Installation Bus" or in short as "the Bus") is designed as a management system in the field of electrical installation for load switching, environmental control and security, for different types of buildings.
