Well, let me tell you....I have been submersed in learning anything and everything that I can about the world of internet/affiliate marketing. I have also been working on building a couple of websites with my new program which I will reveal in my next article. Let's just say that the program is so powerful and has so much relevant information that my head is spinning. I have never seen anything like it.

I also finished reading "Dig Your Well Before You're Thirsty" by Harvey MacKay. The book talks about building your Network in the new, modern day and age. (See below)

I also stumbled upon a great affiliate program. (I will also reveal that in upcoming articles).

Between the information in both of these programs, my days (and some nights) have been filled with knowledge gathering. Each program leads you from one great content-filled page to another content-filled website with so much information it is almost overwhelming. But NOT! I feel empowered with all the information I have learned and I have so much further to go.

If you want to keep up with this ever-growing, ever-changing inernet world, you have to keep on top of every subject that has to do do with internet/ affiliate/mlm marketing.

Taking on the industry of Network/Internet Marketing is a huge monster. Before you know it, you can become so wrapped up in this person's scheme or that person's "Best Program Ever" that your head is spinning. You can probably relate to that statement.

Trying to "do it all," you never really become proficient in one niche market. In order to be the best at what you are trying to achieve, you need to focus.

The first thing you need to do is realize that building your business is going to take time. As the old saying goes, "Rome was not built in a day" still holds true today. You must have patience.

You need to know that you will be spending money to make money. From everything that I have learned, NOTHING is free. Period. It may appear to be at first glance, but watch your step and invest wisely. Do your homework and your research. Don't be fooled by every advertisement you see that boasts "bigger and better than the other guy." Usually if it is too good to be true--It Is.

You have to be able to think outside the box and have an inner desire to achieve. Sure, you may think about failure but do not let it overcome the rewards you may reap at the end of your efforts.

Several leads may come but you have to be smart enough to realize that not every lead is going to turn into a sale. Do the statistics. Out of every 50 calls/leads there may be 10-15 viable leads and out of those 10 you may only get 5 good quality prospects. Be realistic! Do not expect every lead to turn into your next gold mine. People do not return calls, people do not return e-mails. That is just business.

Become aware that you are going to get frustrated. You may want to quit, but do not give up. That next call or lead may be the one that turns your business around. Look at the upside of things. Think about the big picture. You have to see and think about yourself becoming successful before you can actually become that person. Read about other professionals that you want to emulate. Start going to meetings or joining professional groups. You may attend 9 meetings and at the 10th one, you hear something that really turns your head and makes you stand up and take notice. It is worth all those other 9 meetings where you did not learn or obtain a thing.

Learn something new every single day. It can be a chapter in a book, it can be something on the internet-but try to pick up one new piece of sound advice every single day.

Building a business takes a rock hard stomach-it is easy to quit. It is harder to stay and keep pushing through. Look at Donald Trump-would he be where he is today if he quit every time a deal did not go through. I think the answer would be no.

Think like a professional. Act like a professional. Know that there are going to be bad days and there are going to be good days.

Everything that I have been working on up to this point-my reference manual, my purchases of Magnetic Sponsoring, Building on a Budget, Traffic Formula-basically anything and everything, all came together the other day when a friend of mine on one of the Network Marketing Forums explained it all to me in a few simple words.

This gentleman (who has a great deal of knowledge and insight into Business and Network Marketing-thank you Michael) told me that my primary business is the business I invested in-my product AND organization (my team)-which happens to be YTB (the online travel store). The other products I use are TOOLS to attract people to my real business (YTB). He said "YOU are the business. YTB is the income creator. Magnetic Sponsoring, Building on a Budget and Traffic Formula are the attraction tools to both you AND your income creator. He said to "Sell Yourself" and the rest will follow.

This rule can apply to any business-just add the name of YOUR business where I have the words YTB. I chose YTB because traveling is in my blood. I moved around the country three times over when I was growing up (thank you FBI dad)! I have travelled out of the country several times. I love to cruise. I love to fly. I love going on vacation anywhere at any time. I love flying so much that I even became a flight attendant for a year with the largest airline in the world after leaving corporate world. So I thought "why not open an online travel store where I can enjoy being a travel agent from the comfort of my own home?" It works for me! YTB Business Opportunity page.

The point of my story is that you can take the same principles that I have learned and apply them to your business-it does not really matter what business it is--travel or otherwise. All businesses need to generate leads and what better way to generate leads than with a system that allows you to do this 24/7-even while you are asleep.

Everyone is out there competing for business. Your competitors are everywhere. But the one thing that they do not have is the advantage of having prospects attracted to that business every hour, 365 days a year. There are meetings, presentations, phone calls, more meetings, more presentations until one day they finally snag that one customer. The systems I mentioned above all sell themselves.

Again, YOUR BUSINESS IS MARKETING. As Mike Dillard says in Magnetic Sponsoring "You sell a marketing system to distributors. The marketing system sells your company's products." These two sentences will change your life if you "get it."

In order to succeed you need to become the Leader in your field. There are certain qualities and characteristics of those people who will become successful. In order to accomplish this, you need to read, watch and listen to those you want to emulate.

I personally read about those people that interest me and have something to say that will further my knowledge and business needs. Right now I am reading Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich" along with two other books within that same book. Please look below at these and other books I recommend. You can never read enough about successful people or subjects that will enhance your business. When you start to see yourself as these Leaders do: that you are unstoppable, unbeatable and empowered with the wisdom to take yourself where you want to go--you know you have made it or are at least on your way!

I learned a lot coming from "corporate world." I didn't know that during all my different and varied jobs--that one day it would all come together like a giant puzzle and fit into one niche--Building My Own Business and Firing My Boss. I feel a sense of freedom knowing that I alone am going to make it or break it. I am not relying on any one else. I am not relying on anyone to motivate me or tell me which "task" I need to complete next so that I may receive my piece of cheese. I decide how I am going to make my business successful and grow.

You need to possess quite a few of the following characteristics to become successful:

- You need the mental aptitude and mentality. I have this because it has come from years of "corporate world" teaching me everything I need to know and prepare me for running my own business. This experience alone contributes to my years of success that are going to be mine. I know I can do it therefore I can.

- You can not care about criticism. I hear it in my family and friends' voices. "Oh great! What is she up to now?" I guess I decided to take this route because I have a sense of adventure and I am always willing to take a risk.

- You have to be very confident. Some people feel and say that they are afraid to approach me because I exude confidence. Trust me when I say it is not arrogance. When someone gets to know me, they know that I am very warm and friendly but at the same time very knowledgeable. I know what I want and what I don't want. I want to surround myself with others who want the same thing. I do not want to waste my time with people who can not further the direction I want to grow my business.

- You have to be able to take charge. If you can not take charge of your own life and put your business in order, how do you expect people to follow you? You need a "Take Charge" attitude. You are the problem solver in their mind.

- You do not need to tolerate ignorance. These types of people only get in your way. Try as you may, there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough and cut your losses with someone. It is hard to do, but better now than down the road when it has really gotten too late and out of hand, they have drained you and you can't do anything about it.

- You need a bubbly personality. You want others to feel comfortable around you. Leadership, but leadership with a caring attitude. You want everyone to feel that they can follow your lead in living the life that you have made for yourself. You need to give them confidence that "Yes--You Too Can Do This." The "Follow Me and I Will Show You the Way!" caring attitude. Always be there to Help.

- You know when to say "That's enough." You can not be everything to everybody. When you become successful, naturally people want to copy what you are doing and spend your time working only with them. That is not possible. You give them the tools, show them what to do, provide support and encouragement and let them take their business to new heights. Remember--you can not do this FOR them. They will try and let you, but you must not let them succeed. It is a drain on you and your valuable time.

Overall, the underlying theme is that you need to make yourself valuable to others. People seek value in every aspect of their life--why wouldn't they want the same thing when starting a new business? People want to follow a leader.

Do not become overwhelmed-it is easy to do. Start out slow unless have an "A-" type personality where you think you can handle it all. There is so much information to get you started and so many steps to follow that at times it does all seem a bit overwhelming. I know I wanted to "Do it all" but you have to allow time to sit back and absorb what you have learned in order to put it to practical use.

This method is real and I can attest that it is possible to make money through network marketing. A large percentage of the people in the industry never achieve a full-time income. I am at a point where I wanted to make a turn in the road and try a business that was exciting, different and I could make it anything I wanted to make it. It all depends on me and NO ONE else!

From everything I have learned, buying leads, making 100-200 calls per day, holding meetings, mailing expensive information packets and looking for referrals is NOT the way that I wanted to start in the Network Marketing business.

So how was I going to get people to contact and pursue me and what I had to offer? What could I do to have complete strangers want to work with me? How can I become that person that everyone wants to work with and become the hunted instead of the hunter?

You need to have a "leader" personality. This means you need to be seen as the strongest and most dominate individual in a group-both physically and mentally. You need business savvy, monetary means, sociability, and education. We tend to be attracted to people of a like kind-in other words, people who are just like us. We like to surround ourselves with people who tend to add value to our core circle.

Think about your own life--who are you attracted to right now? Most likely it is people that have the same leadership qualities and high personal value that you do. People are looking to be led by others. They want their leader to have those core strengths and a leader with value that they feel will lead them in a successful direction.

People do NOT join a business, they join you.

There are two types of people: leaders and followers. Leaders are strong, dominant personalities with the ability to lead even in the toughest situations. Look at Donald Trump--this man has gone from bankrupt and back but is still on the top of his game. Followers want someone to lead them through life, tell them which way to go, which path to take and are very comfortable in that role. Which are you--a leader or a follower?

Only you can determine which classification you are in. If you are a leader-Great! Good For You! If you are a follower, strive to become a leader. It really is a state of mind. You really can be anything you want to be if you put your mind to it.

You have to have goals and dreams--without them, life is ordinary and dull. If you believe you will always stay at your income level, or that you will always stay at your present job then that is where you will end up. On the other hand, if you want to break out of the mold, become someone you have always dreamed of, then start right now. It really is all Mindset--believe it and it can come true.

The word leadership can refer to:

1. Those entities that perform one or more acts of leading.
2. The ability to affect human behavior so as to accomplish a mission designated by the leader.

The leader is easy to spot because everyone is "attracted" to them. They are usually confident, know what they want, live by rules, and have a lot of integrity. They are driven individuals whom everyone wants to emulate but does not, or cannot, figure out how they do it.

Becoming a leader is not going to happen overnight. Everyone wants to become something instantaneously in this day and age. If you start off with that mindset you are going to fail miserably. No one starts at the top--everyone on the top had to start at the bottom. You may sit back and say to yourself "Man, that person has it so easy." But do you really know what it took for that person to get where they are today?

You have to decide where you want to be before you can get there. Do you want to have business that is constantly flowing to you instead of you chasing after it? Do you want so many prospects seeking you out that one day you will have to turn them away or hand them over to someone else on your team because you just can't handle the large quantity of leads?

Personally attracting new prospects to you is a never-ending process. You have to be willing to sacrifice time, effort and commitment in order to make it work--and work successfully.

I will tell you how to use these strategies successfully no matter what your product is and how you can apply these principles to any business.

Funded Proposals are beyond company products. You can "Retail" company products. You can put together a marketing campaign that is self- funding through retail sales.

I will tell you how to do it successfully no matter what your product is and how you can apply these principles to any business.

There are a few truths about Funded Proposals:

-people want things done for them. They want to learn how to do it and not to have to do it--makes sense, right?

-90-95% of people will say no to your business. If you paid for leads, and do not make money back you will be out of business.

-It is important to move the product that you are trying to sell.

-Out of 100 leads-95% are not going to be serious. You can disqualify most of them.

Monetize your leads:

Utilize Marketing or Retail products that are inexpensive information products that hit people right at home with their present interest: Making Money From Home!

When someone clicks on any of your links, and then decides to join, you earn residual/passive income 24/7! It allows you to stay in business and it will offset your expenses while you are growing your MLM Business/Home-Based Business. You will be on your way to starting in the Network/Attraction Marketing arena. And this is only the beginning. The whole idea behind Funded Proposals is to have people attract themselves to you instead of you seeking out leads and prospects. People will naturally be attracted to making money from home and "Firing Their Boss."

You must have a complete business model. You can't possibly know where you are going with your business until you take this very important step and map out a strategy. I will talk about setting up a business model in another article.

"The more people you are going to help, the more you are going to help yourself."

There has never been a more true statement! Think about it--how you can put that statement to use in your network marketing (or any) business?

The process needs to be automatic:

--You don't need to sell books.
--You can get Testimonials from your prospects/clients which are Free Advertising.
--You don't need a lot of money to get started if you use the correct strategies.
--Use Marketing Techniques from all the experts out there (I have a list of great examples if you would like to e-mail me).
--Work Smart.

You can make money whether people say "yes" or "no" to your opportunity--your business is on the web every single day--if you work diligently people will find you.

The pressure disappears when you feel you don't have to sponsor people. You need to stay away from the mindset "I have to sponsor someone or I can't pay the bills." You put a lot of pressure on yourself when you think that way. You come across as desperate and people run away from you. People are repelled by people who chase them. Funded Proposals take the pressure off to sponsor people. When you stop trying so hard people will say "yes" to you. When you are not looking, and you least expect it, that is when your business takes off.

People gravitate to and want to join leaders:

Position yourself as that leader. No one puts you in that position--put yourself there.

You don't need money--Educate yourself, make yourself Valuable.

You have to develop value. You don't have to have financial status or have a great job, it is all Mindset--what you have to offer others.

1) Elect yourself to a leadership position today. You do not need permission--and there is no criteria.
2) When I do this, when I do that--NO! Now! Today!
3) Naturally it follows that you will do what leaders do.
4) Results will follow and fall in your lap.

Go out and educate yourself. Invest in your education. Buy books and read them! See my recommended list at the bottom of the page. Take Courses. The more you invest in yourself, the more money you earn. If you buy the books, read them! If you sign up for the courses--take them. Don't waste money by not reading the books you have purchased or attending the seminars/training you have signed up to take!

Print out, or write out other successful copyrighter copy. Everything I talk about in my articles on Funded Proposals and Network Marketing takes Time, Effort, and Commitment. You need to learn skills for writing Sales Letters. There is probably a minimum of 1-3 hours of re-writing paragraphs 20 times over. It DOES get easier. Skill acquirement is a prerequisite for the concept of Network Marketing.

You don't have to do a lot to stand out from the crowd in the Network Marketing industry. There REALLY is so little competition. Learn one or two little skills really well that most people don't have or don't want to take the time to acquire or learn. You can become the leader or expert in that field.

Magnetic Sponsoring-it is not about your business or sponsoring. It is when other people want to work with you. It is a philosophy--A way of thinking that most people don't subscribe to. It is not taught. It is not something that can be duplicated.

You can't really "teach" your downline. It is a Catch-22. If you invest the time and "grasp it" or "get it" and make the effort to learn, you can make the money ($$$) and you won't need to worry about money ($$$) again! This takes time, though. It WILL NOT happen overnight. You need patience. It is not about networking--It is a process learned outside networking.

You need to take this information to heart. Financial success is an event NOT a skill. It is a skill that is required and can be duplicated. Make your own mark and be independent.

What is magnetic sponsoring or attraction marketing? How does it work? How can your YTB business benefit from the strategies and tactics?

You have to be willing to:
--Work smart and not hard
--Learn about marketing
--Make changes in the strategies you are using right now
--Travel down a different road
--Not chase after genealogy leads, make 200 calls a day or hand out sizzle cards

If you are not making enough money for the time, energy and effort you have spent on other methods, stop what you are doing and try using magnetic or attraction sponsoring to promote your YTB business. You need to start studying the market and look into direct response marketing. It is better to have people call you--it is much easier and much more rewarding.

Some great places to start are by reading Joe Schroeder's book about "attraction marketing." Some great authors on these subjects are: Perry Marshall and Dan Kennedy. Look for experts and read their bios and what they have done. Be able to learn something from what they have to say.

If your goal is to have 5-10 prospects call you for one reason or another, don't you think you could build a big business by actually talking with those 5-10 people? Notice I said, them calling you!

People will try different activities to start in Attraction or Network marketing using YTB and have their own reasons for doing them. It might be that their money is tight so advertising is not an option. They try using Google Adwords but they don't know what they are doing-people write ads but have no idea how to write. Advertising is the key only IF you do it right.

Attraction or Magnetic Marketing is:
--attracting your target market to you
--prospectswho are looking to grow their business
--people who are looking for a leader to follow and learn the skills they have to teach.

Your strategy should not be selling your YTB business or selling your YTB opportunity. People don't make money because they join the opportunity as a result of its cool product. People make money by learning how to build their business, how to build a pipeline, through mentorship, learning strategies and tactics and learning to advertise. They have to learn how to monetize leads.

Attraction or Magnetic Marketing is finding out what the business is all about. It has nothing to do with selling the company/business or being a successful distributor-anyone can have a company with a successful product or they can become a successful distributor. It is not about product. It is all about people. Products are an excuse to train people, teach leadership, and build a distribution organization. It is important to have a good product but it is more than your company or product that they are going to be attracted to.

Sell yourself to people first! That is what is important!

People will join you because they:

1) found a mentor or leader to teach them to be successful.
2) found or have been shown a marketing system or opportunity that they can see themselves being successful with.

Yes, it really is that simple!

The three important rules of Attraction or Network Marketing: Sell Yourself, Market the System and then Market the company.

People love to buy things if they think it is their idea. Don't chase them-it makes them run in the other direction! Provide them with the correct tidbits, marketing pieces. Tease them, entice them. Let them think that it is their idea to work with you and then you can sponsor them.

You have to ask yourself "What are you bringing to the table for that particular prospect?" If three people with the same tremendous company with the same tremendous opportunity and product present their presentation to someone, which person do you think is going to get the business? It depends on how you present it but it would be the person who followed the above three rules.

How do you become that person? The only people who make money are leaders. Leaders have educated themselves about the industry they have become involved in and have acquired the necessary skill sets. Leaders aren't born they are made. Leaders have a genuine interest in people and a desire to help people succeed.

You can break out as that leader. You can separate yourself and put yourself out ahead of the crowd and be someone that people want to seek out.

You need to increase your value to other people. Why do people want to work with you?

Educate yourself. Put your money, time and energy into learning skills other people don't want to learn. Read books or articles on Marketing, Copyrighting, Advertising. You have to become attractive in other people's eyes and use that knowledge to grow your YTB business.

Buying books and reading/educating yourself does not take a lot of money. There is so much to gain by reading. The knowledge gained by reading alone is valuable and adding value to yourself with every book you read. You are going to go through personal growth with every book added to your library. Becoming a leader in the YTB organization takes time, skill and becoming a leader who people want to learn from and follow.
