Auckland City Sky Tower
Looking at a place that has many facets.Entertainment,Culture,Dress Ups,Gambling.
This Skycity can be lived at.There are two main hotels.You can eat here, play Black Jack or Spin the wheel,you could watch movies when they have a special festival.I hope to show the range of styles of food available here.There is a theatre at Skycity.This has been amazingly supportive towards arts and general stage entertainment in Auckland.
I have been to a major Magic show, I have been to a movie festival, I have been to a general performance by a visiting Chinese group, and I have even been to a Shaolin Temple Monk's performance here. Plays are often performed here too.
There has been a 5 star hotel added to the complex, and the surrounds include some foodie quality restaurants as well.One was set up by a Peter Gordon that has made a name for cooking in London as Fusion Cuisine.

Often, going to a place for entertainment needs a bit of leatherwork.You need to study up on things.There may be gambling moves, there may be motivation to jump off the tower(with safety harness fixed,and cheeky help to spice it up),you may want to try food that is outside your square.You may even want to dance.

- It didn't exist when I was in Auckland in 1987/88. A lot of downtown has changed since then.

The Sky Tower Needle Part from a distance .
You can see that we are really just a backwater.But these older buildings are what I like too.Some newer buildings have aged very rapidly and seem to suffer from neglect.The city council seems more interested on what is on the inside of rate paying businesses than on exteriors, even of their own buildings or of rundown uninhabited places.
