Welcome to the Auction Buzz Squidoo Lens
In this lens I will explain about Auction Buzz and how webmasters, blogmasters and auction users can use the site to gain valuable exposure.
First let me introduce you to the Auction Buzz website itself.
On arriving at the home page you will see the default stories relate to the keyword "eBay". eBay was chosen as this is the most popular search experienced on the site. However, across the top and down the left hand side you will see several pre-loaded popular pages.
All of the pages are related to online auctions and storefronts (e.g. eCrater).
Each time a page is searched for Auction Buzz does a fast check via Google Blogsearch to return the latest blog posts using the specified keywords. As a result you can find fresh news within minutes of a blog post being made anywhere in the world.
But Auction Buzz isn't restricted to just the pages you see listed on the site. You can use the search boxes at the top and bottom of the page to find recent blog posts made about virtually any website or subject.
Use Auction Buzz To Promote Your Own Sales, Website or Blog
Links are the traffic signposts of the Internet...
Do you make blog posts? Then an Auction Buzz page will probably display a link to your posts if you 'ping' them to Google Blogsearch. Remember blog searches are done by keyword so if, for example, you have the name "eCrater" in your blog post title the Auction buzz page at www.AuctionBuzz.info/eCrater should display your post.
The clever thing about Auction Buzz is that a page exists for virtually any key search term you are likely to use even if the page isn't listed on the site menus. By way of example take a look at www.AuctionBuzz.info/Squidoo. That should return recent blogposts featuring "Squidoo" in them. Now try adding any search keyword you like instead of the word "Squidoo".
By now you should see how you can create pages at Auction Buzz that will promote your website, sales or blog posts. Links pointing to your sites on the internet are absolutely vital. Without them it's not just people that wont find you, it's the search engines too.
Getting The Best From Auction Buzz
Make your page work for you and your sites...
To be effective people need to find your Auction Buzz page. Obviously it's impossible to list every page created on the site for visitors to click so we need to rely on the search engines to publicise the page for you.
Having got the URL (web address) to your Auction Buzz page you need to start placing that link elsewhere on the internet wherever you can (avoiding spam of course). Ideas include forum signature spaces, your own blog, facebook, MySpace, Bebo and - last but certainly not least - your Squidoo lenses.
When the search engine crawlers find these links they will then index your Auction Buzz page. The quicker and more frequently the search engines find your links, the more likely your page will feature higher in their results to searches.
Because the content of your page at Auction Buzz will change - often several times a day - the search engines will keep visiting and appreciate the new content on show each time. This means a whole new array of keyword searches will find your page and as the ranking of your page improves, the natural search traffic you can expect will grow with it.
So why not consider making Auction Buzz work for you. Free publicity? Bargain!
