Where Is Your Vision Board?
Do you find yourself too busy to go through magazines for pictures? Have you been collecting pictures but not been able to compile them to a vision board? Is your vision board done but you hardly see it no matter what ideal location you put it in? This provides you an easy alternative (or additional option) that you can save as your computer background and see it all the time.
A Vision JPEG is Born!
A vision board is a tool that practically every Law of Attraction and Success teacher recommends you put together. It is a board with a collage of all your desires that you put somewhere where you can always see it.I have been struggling with doing a vision board. Some of the problem was having magazines with the right pictures. I get frustrated because I find tons of pictures of fit and trim bodies, travel locations and nice homes but these seem to be the only photos I would find that were associated with my vision and dreams. Another problem was wondering, if I did get one put together, where I would put it so that I would consistently see it. There was also the time that it takes to find magazines, flip through them (keep self disciplined not to read the articles), buy the board, paste them on to the board, etc. Then I came up with a solution. I built a computer background that is my vision board. The one place I am more than any other is at my computer.
I think that one downfall of this option is that the time you spend working on the board is a good exercise in focusing on the things you want. However, for anyone that, like me, finds that they aren't getting this done, this solution might work!
Goals
A Prerequisite!
What are your goals? I am one that writes my goals down so I had them but if you still haven't taken this step this is your first step. Think about all the things you want and remember during a process like this - Don't Hold Back. Collect Images
Open up your Internet Browser. Go to Google Images. Enter in a word that describes your goals. For example; new wardrobe. Many images will be displayed that depict this. You want to use photos that resonate with you; that give you a feeling of what having met that goal would do for you. Click on the image that you like. Even though my Vision JPEG was for personal use I still checked to see if the image was being sold or was someones image. I did not want to violate a copyright. After I saw that it was included in a page without any copyright information I then saved it to a file. (Right click on the image and "Save Picture As") Be sure to name them something that will allow you to easily decipher them later. The number of images can vary. I had a lot of things written down that I wanted to do so my Vision JPEG is a bit busy looking; yours is not required to have this many, or it could easily be more. Just like building a Vision Board is something you do that is personal and yours, so is this.
Build A PowerPoint Slide
Once you have collected a bunch of images it is time to build the PowerPoint. Open up your software and start inserting the files onto the page. (From the toolbar, Insert, Picture From File). Arrange your images on the page. You can enlarge them or shrink them to make them fit the way you would like. (Enlarging my blur some of the pictures, you will have to decide if that bothers you!) There is also a way for you to move the image behind or pull it in front of the other images if you find you want to make sure something shows in its entirety. Make sure your "Drawing" toolbar is visible (Toolbar, View, Toolbars, Drawing) Drawing shows up at the bottom of the window. Once you have the toolbar, and you know which image you want to push behind another one (or pull to the top of another one) select it. Once you have it selected you can go to the Draw toolbar and "Order" it. (Draw, Order, Send to Back (or Send to Front). Save As .JPG
Once you have built the picture like you want it, you can now save the file as a .jpg. Go into File, Save As, and then enter a name and then change the Save as Type to JPEG File Interchange Format. It will ask you if you want to save the whole file or just the one slide. Save just the slide. Load as your Background
Now you are ready to change your background on your computer so that you will have this Vision JPEG in a place you can always see it. I have an Windows machine so if you have something other than that you may need to find the way to do it on your particular operating system. In Windows if you right click on the background and choose Properties you will see a Display Properties Window displayed. If you click on the Desktop tab you will then be able to Browse to the JPEG you just built. Click on Browse and find the file and select the picture and then Open it. You then click ok; or apply to see the change without closing the Display Properties window - if you think you might want to go back to the original image. That should do it, you should now have a Vision JPEG that can be used for visualization work.

- I write my goals in a 2010 goals booklet. It is always in my wallet and I review it regularly. It keeps me focused on what really matters to me.
Enjoy and success!
