Avril Lavigne wed Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley on a Saturday afternoon at a private estate in Montecito, Calif., a source confirms to PEOPLE.

At the outdoor, non-denominational ceremony, Lavigne was walked down the aisle by her father, John, to Mendelssohn's "Wedding March." She wore a Vera Wang gown and carried a bouquet of white roses.

The couple said their vows under an awning decorated with white flowers in front of 110 guests, including family and friends from their native Ontario.

Once the groom had kissed the bride, guests tossed rose petals at the newlyweds as they walked back up the aisle.

After the wedding, guests were treated to an outdoor cocktail hour before the reception, including a sit-down dinner, under a tent on the estate. In contrast to the all-white ceremony, the reception had a red theme, with centerpieces of red roses and other flowers.

The couple's first dance was to the Goo Goo Dolls' "Iris."

Lavigne, 21, and Whibley, 26, have been together for two years, and became engaged in Venice, Italy, in June 2005, while Lavigne was on the last leg of her European tour.

In late 2004 Lavigne started sporting a small pink heart-shaped tattoo with the letter "D" on her right wrist, supposedly for her guitarist-singer-lyricist beau.

When Whibley was spotted wearing a silver band on his left ring finger earlier this year, he shot down rumors that the pair had already tied the knot, telling Teen People, "I've been practicing (playing guitar) with it. It's fun to mess with the press."

The bride has been especially busy these past few months. Besides preparing for the wedding and giving voice to a possum in the animated film Over the Hedge, Lavigne has a third album in the works. (Her first two albums were 2002's Grammy-nominated Let Go and 2004's Under My Skin.)

Of her new album, she told PEOPLE in May, "there's going to be some love songs on there. That's what I feel, so that's what I'm going to end up writing."

Both Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley are key figures in the punk pop music genre. Whibley's band Sum 41 have just celebrated gold certification status for their latest album Chuck which hit the top 10 of the Billboard pop albums chart. The band has reached the top 10 of the modern rock singles chart 4 times. One of those singles, "Fat Lip," reached #1. Avril Lavigne has enjoyed even greater success. Her first album Let Go sold over 15 million copies led by the single "Complicated" which peaked at #2. Her followup album Under My Skin topped the albums chart. Lavigne has also been nominated for 8 Grammy Awards and won 7 Juno Awards, the Canadian version of the Grammys. She has had 8 number one songs at home in Canada.

The couple bought a home together last year in Beverly Hills. Avril Lavigne has also been sporting a small pink heart-shaped tattoo with the letter "D" on her right wrist since last fall. In a recent interview Deryck Whibley stated that he's sick of going to strip clubs and getting drunk all the time, perhaps an indication that he is growing beyond the bad boy reputation of his group. Reportedly, Whibley proposed recently in Europe where Avril Lavigne has been touring and Sum 41 will begin a concert tour in July. Meanwhile, Lavigne begins her North American tour in July.
In January 2004, Deryck began dating fellow Canadian rocker Avril Lavigne . During the last part of Lavigne's European Tour for the Bonez Tour shows, she and Whibley took a trip to Venice and got engaged on June 27th, 2005. The couple married in a traditional Catholic ceremony on July 15, 2006, at a private estate in the California coastal city of Montecito, located about 87 miles (140 km) northwest of Los Angeles. Lavigne wore a Vera Wang gown, carried pearl-white Australian roses, and was walked down the aisle by her father. Whibley wore a Hugo Boss suit and was accompanied by four groomsmen, Steve Jocz (his best man), Jason "Cone" McCaslin, Avril's older brother Matt Lavigne, and Sum 41's close friend, Robb Dipple. Lavigne's younger sister, Michelle Lavigne, was one of the bridesmaids. About 110 guests attended the wedding, and their first dance as a married couple was to the Goo Goo Dolls song "Iris". They currently live in Bel Air, Los Angeles, California.

Kohl's Corporation and Avril Lavigne have launched Abbey Dawn, a new juniors' lifestyle brand. Kohl's will be the exclusive U.S. retailer for the brand, which will feature new fashion collections updated every 60 days.

Abbey Dawn will launch in Kohl's stores nationwide and Kohls.com beginning in July, just in time for the back-to-school season.

Lavigne's 2008 "The Best Damn Tour" kicked off today in Victoria, B.C.. and will hit more than 40 North American cities. "The Best Damn Thing," released in April 2007, is already certified platinum in the U.S. and has sold more than five million copies and 14 million tracks worldwide.

The 2008 back-to-school collection is created from Lavigne's own closet and will feature two key fashion collections at launch. The first features a combination of feminine sophistication and rock-and-roll attitude, which includes bold colors and mix-and-match iconic prints; and the second features a fusion of ska, reggae and skater with a balance of traditional tartan plaids, checks and stripes.

Apparel and jewelry will be available at launch. Additional categories may be added over time. Abbey Dawn will be sized 0-13 in bottoms and S-XL in tops. Apparel prices will range from $24 to $48.

Abbey Dawn will join Kohl's existing line-up of exclusive and private brands and comes on the heels of recent announcements like Dana Buchman and FILA SPORT and successful launches like Simply Vera Vera Wang and Food Network.
