Best Damn Job

After working for years and years for traditional company as a Land Surveying. I've come to the realization that being just another number SUCKS. Working your tail off to impress a boss, supervisor, or manager is a complete waist of time. I grew up with my grandparents, and they always taught me that if you worked twice as hard as the next man you could make a name for yourself. WRONG!!!!! See I worked late and took work home, studied on my own time, worked through lunch and where did that get me... laid-off just like everyone else.

See the problem with that theory is your immediate supervisor or manager isn't the one making decisions. The person who actually see's how hard you work on a daily basis has 4 people above him. The owners, VIP's, and CEO's only remember you from the company picnic or for parking in their space.

So I encourage you if you're not happy with your current situation. If you're not doing something that you absolutely love, If you know that deep down there's something out there that's much BIGGER, FIND A NICHE. Something that makes you feel good inside and meaningful... Spend more time with the people that matter the most..

So now I work for myself. I'm my own boss. All from the comforts of my own home. I take my son to school and come back home and clock in. Connecting and meeting new people, marketing, and having fun with cool new gadgets. But most importantly I know that the work I do COUNTS. For me, for my business, for my future. Did I mention the fun working with new people from around the world or sharing in others peoples visions through their blogs and videos.
