Most people think of novelty fabrics being quilt weight. We carry novelty fabric for home decoratingWe look for novelty fabrics that show a person's interest or love; what makes a person happy. We feel a person should love what they wake up to in the morning, whether it is bedroom curtains or kitchen chairs! We think you should get up and see a chair and feel: that chair is ME! While stripes may make some people's hearts go pitter pat, they are not for us!. We feel that people's homes should be an extension of one's loves and interests. We think of it as "fabric from the heart".

Pheasant fabric. This fall fabric has a wonderful, elaborate paisley border.
Deer fabric. This toile fabric shows deer in the out of doors. It comes in blue, red, gold, and aqua. There is also a companion fabric with feathers floating over a plaid background.
Victorian lace fabric. This large calla lily lace fabric is the same pattern as one of Anna French's,but done as lace.
Dog fabric. This retriever fabric shows dogs out and about on a fall day, surprising different pheasants. It is available in blue or gold.
Fern fabric. One of many fern fabrics we carry.
A squid, turtle, lobster, crab fabric. This is done as a toile, and has the surprise of a blowfish and a gold fish!
A traditional horse toile fabric. This has several vignettes- one has running deer and rabbits, another has quail out for a walk, and then there is one with a fox!
Embroidered seahorse fabric. This large seahorse is available in blue on cream, copper on cream, blue on mist, or orange on yellow.
Pink angel toile fabric. A classic in soft taupe and pink.

What is HOME DECORATING FABRIC?

On the most simple level home decorating fabric, often called home dec fabric, is for use within the home.
While that can mean anything from dishtowels to sheets, home dec fabric is for the decorating of the home. Home decorating fabric has been manufactured to stand up to home use- and has had to pass rigid tests. It is also usually treated on the right side to resist stains.

Home decorating fabric is usually a mid-weight fabric. It is suitable for curtains and cushions. But, depending on the weave and weight it can also be used for slip covers and upholstery.

    These fabric designs remind me of the bark cloth prints my grandmother used to sew drapes, pillows and slip covers - so homey and nostalgic!
