BSL = Bull Sh*t Law
BSL - Breed Specific Legislation - Laws that focus on a certain breed of dog. Most of the time it means an area will ban that type of dog from being in an area. It just isn't right.

Is it needed or is it wrong?
Breed specific legislation is laws that pertain to a specific breed of dog. Most of the laws are just city wide bans. Many cities will come and take your dog away if it is on the list. That is just so wrong. A) It's inhuman to take and kill some family's pet and B) Do you want your tax dollars going to police that are going out to confiscate an American Pit Bull Terrier when that team could be going after crack dealers, rapist, or murderers?
Is BSL a fair and just law?

Although I do hear in the local news a lot about a pitbulls aggressiveness, I think they can be trained. I've seen pics of them sleeping with a little child even. I don't think ANYONE should have their pet taken from them, as most are like family members. Check out my lens on DoAnimalsGoToHeaven.

it's a terrible law! any dog of any breed can become mean if treated badly, breed has nothing to do with it... I've seen toy poodles that could and would do more damage than a pit bull. It's the owner not the breed that determines how the dog is.
A responsible owner takes good care of the dog and teaches it right from wrong, and always uses a leash.
To come in and take property is unconstitutional and communistic. To take pets/family goes one step farther and becomes nothing short of Hitler and his Nazi army.

I'd like to see laws barring dog ownership to people who've been convicted of keeping a dangerous dog and much stiffer fines and potential jail time (I also support similar measures for people convicted of animal cruelty). Make if really unpleasant for people who want aggressive dogs and easier on people who are willing to give these breeds good loving homes.

Yes it is very fair, these dogs are called aggressive for a reason.
These people agree that BSL is wrong.
