Welcome to my lens for my CafePress store, Baby Laughs.
Two and a half years ago, I was blessed with the birth of my first, and so far only son, Jake. Pregnancy and childbirth brought a whole new world of humor and sarcasm to me, and with that came a new need to express myself. I've always dabbled in art of some kind, from photography to graphic design, and Cafepress has allowed me an outlet for my talent, hobby and humor to come together in one place for all the world to see. So came the birth of Baby Laughs. You know, with the amount of work and love I have put into it, Baby Laughs could really be considered my second child!
I grew up in Ohio, then lived in South Carolina for four years before my husbands job relocated our family to Ontario, Canada. The different cultures in each of those places has introduced me to a variety of wonderful people, many of which have helped to inspire my work and my life. Since becoming a parent, my world has opened up to include so many other incredible parents. With that comes a wealth of hilarious stories about all the kids in our lives and all the great things kids do. Many of these stories have inspired some of the designs you will find on this page and in my store. I am forever greatful to my husband for helping me create our son Jake; to my friends for sharing their wisdom, laughs, cries, and stories on their parenthood adventures; to my own parents for fostering my creativity and sense of humor; and lastly to all of you who found your way here to read about (and hopefully shop at) my Cafepress store Baby Laughs!

New Word of the Day
I'm sure you've heard the term "mommy brain". I got it the second my son was born. It was as if everything I'd learned in my life was sucked right out of me. Simple conversations were filled with blanks when I couldn't remember an everyday word! It was worse when I tried to write. Words I previously used were suddenly gone from my vocabulary. - I subscribed to the monthly Pampers Pages newsletter which I have found very helpful in my sons early development. They provide the popular milestones, and what to look for at your baby's month to month stages. From when to start baby food, to what to look for in speech, this site has a lot of useful information. Plus, there is Pampers Gifts To Grow, where you collect points for purchasing diapers, wipes and select other Pampers products. After buying a couple of months worth of diapers, I got my son a free Dora The Explorer DVD! As if that is not enough, Pampers also provides information on activities based on age, informational booklets, coupons, and a community forum for discussing topics with other parents! I rate this a 5 star page. Do you?
- Huggies Baby Network
- Another great network that's easy to navigate and has loads of useful information. When you join, you get a personalized weekly newsletter with tips and advice tailored to your baby. They also have activity books, coupons & offers, samples, and ideas to help with learning and playing with your children. Their message board is filled with entries from other parents, and there is an "Info Central" section with weekly updated "Best of the Web" headlines. I personally like the weekly tips. How about you?
