Baby Socks
Baby socks are so tiny and cute, but did you know that you can use them to make sock flowers and bouquets to decorate for a baby shower with. These baby sock flowers are a fairly simple craft project.
Baby Sock Roses
Materials Needed
These roses are simple to make, but they do require a little bit of time. Each rose can take from 5-10 minutes to make (except for the first one you make - that one always takes A LOT longer!) But once you get the hang of it, these roses are fairly easy to make. Let's start the bouquet-making process with a list of materials you will need:
Green floral tape
Green floral wire
Baby socks of your preferred color(s) (6 pairs, if you want to make a dozen)
Wire cutters
If your going to make a bouquet you will need these
A flower vase
Some extra greenery (baby's breath, etc. from a floral shop or fake from a craft store.)

Instructions
4 Steps to making very cute sock roses
Step 1 Place the sock flat, with the toe pointing towards you. Start rolling the sock from the toe until it reaches the heel.
Step 2 Hold the sock firmly so that it does not unravel, and flip the opening of the sock around the rolled sock.
Step 3 Poke a small piece of wire through the bottom of the sock and twist the wire to keep the sock from unrolling. Wrap florists tape around the bottom of the sock to hide the wire.
Step 4 Create a stem. Use a longer piece of wire, a green stick, or artificial flower stems for stems of a bouquet. Use shorter lengths of wire for a corsage or to put on a Diaper Cake. Tape the stem to the bottom of the sock rose with florists tape. Use tape or hot glue to attach artificial leaves to the stem if desired. Now you have made baby sock roses.

One Good way to use Baby Sock Roses
Instead of making a long stem bouquet.
I like to use them on top of the Diaper Cakes that I make.

Baby shower corsages
You could easily turn each flower into a corsage to be worn at a baby shower.
If your going to make Corsages you will need Long straight pins to pin them on, or you could attach elastic in a loop (that fits around most wrists) using a glue gun.

Baby shower game idea
Taboo with a twist..
You could use the corsages to play the game Taboo where you can't say a certain word usually like Baby, and who ever catches you saying the taboo word gets your corsage. Then when the game is over it would be expected that all the corsages be given to the mother to be.
This version of Taboo would only be good if the baby shower was fairly small, unless you just really enjoyed making baby sock roses ;)
