A Perfect Baby Gift
A gift basket is a wonderful gift for a newborn baby. It is a great way to mix in useful gifts like diaper cream and bibs with fun gifts like a cute toy or stuffed animal. Every mom is impressed with the thought put into a gift basket, after all it is the thought that counts. These are great for baby showers and for going to visit a newborn baby.
A Great and Unique Gift Idea
It can be hard to find just the right thing to buy a new baby. Making a gift basket can be a great idea. With our new baby Thomas we got 2 baskets and loved them. One had a fire engine theme. The basket included a fire engine outfit with a matching bib and socks. It also had a little toy fire truck. My wife was very impressed. The other came in a little metal wash basin with a bath time theme. It contained a towel, wash cloths, baby wash and baby lotion and of course a cute little rubber ducky.
It is great if you can make your own basket so you can pick exactly what you want to put in it. First you should come up with your theme. Picking something the parents love or the baby needs would work best. My wife's dad was a fireman for a long time. So I figure that is why we got lots of fire engine stuff. The sky is the limit when it comes to a good theme. Some ideas could be bath time, bed time, cars, trucks, a sport, or a cute animal. In the basket I would include various things that fit the theme. Clothes, a blanket, bibs, a stuffed animal or toy, pacifiers, creams and numerous other things for babies.

- That is a great idea. My grandmother made my boys afgan type blankets with a few basic pictures of kids toys on them. It was a great gift and we still have them. Thanks.

- There is nothing like a homeknit baby shawl. That is what I spend a lot of the cold winter days knitting. They make a great baby gift. If you are making up a basket ... the shawl can be used as the wrapping. Just add a big bow and it's beautiful! 5*s, favorite, fan and lensrolled.
