Bakuban Battle Brawlers is an animated series about creatures called (you guessed it) Bakuban. The Bakugan game is based on this series. An online blog called the 'Toy Report' says: "Think Pokemon on steroids wearing a laser robot jetpack missile launcher transformer". This sums it all.

Created by Sega Toys and Spin Master, the game consist of little spring loaded plastic balls or marbles (the Bakugan) that pop open and transform into fighting creatures when the get onto special spots on the Bakugan cards. The game is for 2-4 players ages 4 and above. The mission of Bakugan game play is to battle against other Bakugan to win the points awarded on the cards by getting your Bakugan to land on the cards.

To play, each player lays out their cards in turns. They must match up one edge of a card to another (like dominos). Then the players need to roll the Bakugan marbles onto the cards. They keep rolling the marbles until 2 Bakugans stand on the same card. At this point they have a battle. The winner is determined by the Bakugans' "G Power"on each Bakugan and by numbers listed on the back of the card. The winner takes the card and the Bakugans. You keep playing the game until you run out of Bakugans.

The rules are a bit more complicated, but this is the general idea.

* Bakugan Booster Pack - includes 1 x Bakugan Morphing Marbles and 1 x Metal Card
* Bakugan Battle Pack - includes a random selection of six Bakugan warriors. It also includes eight metal cards and instructions.
* Bakugan Launcer - an optional accessory that adds excitement to the game by launching the marbles. simply load the Bakugan and fire away!
* Bakugan Arena - an optional fun-filled accessory makes the game play more enjoyable and feel more professional.
