Barry David Sanders was Detroit's first-round draft pick, 1989. He is known for his electrifying running style. Barry is the first player to rush for 1,000 yards in each of his first 10 seasons and he led NFL in rushing four times. He was named the NFL's MVP, 1997 when he gained 2,053 yards including record 14 straight 100-yard games. Barry's career rushing record: 15,269 yards, 99 TDs. Barry was also first- or second-team All-NFL each of his 10 seasons and was selected to 10 Pro Bowls.
