NFans
Despite their rising sun in wins, Arizona Diamondbacks have not seen record sales recently. However, that will change in 2008 as they are coming off of a very good 2007 season and have started the 2008 season successfully. Tickets will sell very fast, especially toward the end of the season, and it will get hard to find good seats if the winning continues. The Arizona Diamondbacks are a new expansion team found in the National League West. They make their home at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. They joined the ranks of Major League baseball in 1998, and played their first game against the Colorado Rockies in March of that year (a loss). The Diamondbacks may be new, but they are not inexperienced. The combined forces of the talent found in this ball club have led them to three championship titles in the 10 years they have been a team officially, including a World Series championship in 2001.
Diamondbacks Talent
The pitching staff playing for the D-Backs has contributed largely to their success. Legendary names such as Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling helped Arizona find their spot as a number one team early on, and they quickly became the youngest expansion team to ever win a World Series, eliminating powerhouses such as the Atlanta Braves and the St. Louis Cardinals.Of course, no team can win all the time, and the 2004 season was proof positive of this for the D-Backs, with Major League baseball's worst record of the season: 51-111. That record also indicated one of the worst records in the 10 previous years in baseball, a dismal end to a glorious beginning.
New and old talent can be found with this ball club, including Randy Johnson and a whole field of fresh young faces. Manager Bob Melvin also heads up a crew of managers that have aided the Diamondbacks in their wins. The 2008 season is shaping up to be another great one for the Snakes, and as of the beginning of May they held the most wins in Major League baseball this season.
