Affiliate Marketing Basics

All predictions for 2009 tell us that Internet Marketing in general and Affiliate Marketing will grow in spite of economy. I think people will come back to the old idea of creating Multiple Streams Of Incomes, some as they need right away, some to have that extra stream - just in case.

I am an advocate of creating your own digital products, but it is a learning curve to get to that level, and you can start with Affiliate Marketing, selling others digital products. All of us started that way, and when the time is right you will create your own products.

Last year I created an eCourse about Affiliate Marketing, it wasn't an hands on course, but it was a course which reveals the good principals of Affiliate Marketing, priceless for beginners.
I gave the eCourse to my list. I collapsed the eCourse in an eBook and I published in 2 giveaways and to my surprise I had a lot of success with it. This confirms the prediction that a lot of new people will try Affiliate Marketing in 2009 and "How to do affiliate marketing the right way" really open beginner's eyes.

I'll try to publish in this lens the essence of that eCourse, each module title is a chapter title on eCourse, but the content is truncated to show only the main ideas. The entire course has 66 pages; it will be hard to publish all in a lens. If somebody is interested to have the entire course, please let me know.

This is the content, (the modules I have created are green):
Ch. 1: What is Affiliate Marketing
Ch. 2: What is Viral Marketing
Ch. 3: How to do email Marketing right
Ch. 4: How to create a product
Ch. 5: What Blogging will do for your Affiliate Marketing

What is Affiliate Marketing

Let's get busy now!

Affiliate Marketing is a broad subject, you can spend years reading about it.
The purpose of this lens is to:

  • Narrow down what is important
  • Establish the best practice
  • Show common mistakes and
  • Make you think as a "marketer"
This is a lens you must read first and think and plan your new Affiliate Marketing Adventure.
An affiliate marketer is just a "person" who drives traffic to a product.
As an affiliate you can promote:
  • A specific digital product
  • An entire business
  • A website: a membership, an eStore, a review Blog,
  • On-line coaching program
  • An Internet related Service and so on.
The affiliate marketer in return receives compensation for his or her efforts on behalf of the business, most commonly in the form of revenue sharing.

How to Spot The Right Affiliate Marketing Program For You
There are affiliate programs for just about any type of good or service that you can imagine. Finding the right program is crucial for your success:

Step 1: If the idea is to create a second source of income that you can work on in your spare time, chances are you will want to go with a program that will create steady revenue and only require a few hours a week of your time. There will be some investment in time to design your web site and make sure the link or ad to your partner is placed to best advantage, and that the keywords associated with your site will result in a lot of hits. But once the setup is complete, you will be in great shape.

Step 2: Take into consideration your skills and interests (hobbies). All the people I know are knowledgeable in some subject(s), and they have hobbies as well.

How to Generate Sales through Your Affiliate Links
In some affiliate programs today, pay is based on actual sales, which is referred to as cost per sales, or CPS (a good example is Commission Junction (CJ)).
In general, the revenue is based on fixed percentages of total sales, rather than price (the perfect example is Click Bank (CB) commission).

Step 1: Your job is to drive traffic to your affiliate links. That means knowledge about keyword optimization. The content on your site should include keywords and phrases that will cause your site to come up in a browser search. Your description of your site should also include every relevant keyword you can think of. A different chapter will be dedicated to driving traffic.

Step 2: Use your partner's resources. Most affiliate programs offer tools and guidelines to help you promoting. The products in ClickBank will offer for affiliates the most: a landing page, pictures, sales letters, signatures, graphics. I'll advise to remain creative, and use all those resources just "as an inspiration". Being unique is a big plus in this industry. If everybody promote the same product with the same sale page and pictures, you have slim chances to succeed.

Step 3: You have to know that complaints about spam are common. Use every ethical means to create interest, but make sure you keep it honest and responsible.

How to Generate A Residual Income Through Affiliate Selling
Many affiliate programs are interested in earning a new customer that will use a service on a continuing basis, not just in making an initial sale. This is in your advantage, when this happens, you as an affiliate stand to earn commission or residual income each time the customer uses the account.

Step 1: Pick programs that are set up for residual income like membership sides or services as hosting, graphics design and so on. This is the easiest way to acquire consistent residual income each month. At this point I encourage you to take a look to Membership sides, and set up a small amount as a fee per month.

Step 2: Not all affiliate marketing programs are structured to allow for residual income. In fact, most of them are based on one transaction. You can figure out ways to create residual income where there is none.

Can You Become A Super Affiliate
A super affiliate is a person who has become a true master of the art of affiliate marketing. He or she will have created a number of successful programs that consistently generate revenue. In many cases, the super affiliate will have developed some strategies that add a new twist to an old procedure. I know I am repeating myself but this is the name of the game, distance yourself from the crowd being creative.

Step 1: Becoming a super affiliate involves a lot of commitment and hard work.
  • A considerable amount of time and effort involved in the first stages of the partnership to start the process,
  • A need for consistent effort to keep the momentum going.

Step 2: If you want to be a super affiliate, then commit to making your web presence as prominent and enticing as possible. Use every ethical means to draw attention to your affiliate links including:
  • Running ads
  • Writing article with unique content and good signatures
  • Be active in Forums and use good signatures
  • Using keyword optimization
  • Drive traffic using Web 2.0, I have a special Chapter about Web 2.0
  • Monetize your sites using adsense
  • Create review Blogs.

In conclusion if you want a large profit for no effort, you are not likely to become a super affiliate.

Banner Ads are still a choice to Sell Affiliate Products
Banner ads have replaced text links as the portal of choice from the web site of an affiliate to the web site of the affiliate partner. Some marketers will say that the banners are now an old method. I think a banner ad is more visually appealing because in Internet era we become more visually oriented.

How to Find the Right Market For Your Affiliate Products
If you want to make money with your affiliate products, you have to connect with the right consumers. In Affiliate Marketing we call this "targeted traffic". If you advertise correctly to targeted traffic people you will get a bigger percentage of sells vs. buying a "list" of emails of all kind of people.

Step 1: Know your products. While the old saying is that a good sales person can sell anything, that presume knowing which customers can use the products.

Step 2: To help yourself, create a Customer Profile. A simple outline of attributes that the ideal consumer for your products will fit.

Step 3: Identify your target market or markets. Using your customer profile will help narrow the focus so you can concentrate efforts on at least a primary audience and one or two secondary audiences.

Step 4: Put yourself in their shoes. Identify keywords that will have meaning to your audience. Think as a Marketer. By attracting the attention of the right type of customers, you greatly enhance the chances of making a sale.

Step 5: In your ads rise curiosity, and in the same time try to meet your customers needs, this is the winning combination.

How to Avoid Common Mistakes Affiliates Make
The success in affiliate marketing is coming out from testing, and testing again. This is how you gain the experience you need to be an ace of advertising.

Step 1: Learn all you can about Affiliate Marketing. It is nothing wrong about following the successful people, learning from their experience and trying to replicate there success.

Step 2: Make use of all the resources offered by your partners. In many cases, those resources were developed and refined based on their success and failure. But just don't copy over, use them being inventive.

Step 3: You really have to keep an eye on marketing trends. Avoid methods that are no longer effective. There is a cycle of 2-3 years in which ideas and trends are changing

Step 4: Sometime you need to trust your instincts, if something doesn't seem to feel quite right to you, then look for something else. We are living in an era of info overload. I try to avoid this word, but now this is the right place to say that you have to learn to separate the weeds. Not an easy task, I know, takes time!

How to Maintain Focus as an Affiliate Marketer
Being successful means staying the course when you really would rather go do something else.
Step 1: Create a long term and a short term plan. You need the vision of your business (long term), the goals (milestones), the day by day plan.

Step 2: Have a defined work space. Setting aside a room in your home as your place of business helps to give your work a sense of being real and you will have the silence and the isolation you need to concentrate. This will help motivate you to "go to work", and make you be productive.

Step 4: Keeping your focus is easy when things are going well, but is much more difficult when things aren't going well. Remember that tomorrow always has the potential to bring great rewards, don't give up at the first stone you encounter on your way to success, keep working.

How to Use PPC Advertising to Sell Affiliate Products
PPC, or pay per click advertising is one way to get the word out about your affiliate program. As a beginner don't use them, later you will learn to do it the right way.

In summary, Affiliate Marketing offers many opportunities to make money.
Matching the right interests, skills, and commitment level to the task greatly increases the chance to be successful on affiliate marketing.
With proper planning, it is possible to begin a new career that is both financially and emotionally rewarding, the best step toward your financial independence.

What is Viral Marketing

"Viral marketing" means that the word about your business will spread like a virus utilizing social and business connections that you put in place to grow your business. It is also called "word of mouth advertising".

The term was first used in a 1996 article called "The Virus of Marketing" and was adopted immediately in Internet Marketing jargon because it is so suggestive.

Viral marketing functions on the basis of voluntary participation in the process of advertising a business, and takes place both online and offline.
Relationships are the key to the success of any viral marketing approach, and can take many forms:
The basis for the connection may be:

  • Community: your town, your social bookmarking, social networking, blogs
  • Family and friends
  • Business contacts like other Affiliates, Joint Ventures partnership, people you met on conferences, seminars
  • Email lists that are associated with a niche
To put in place a viral marketing you really need:
  • To start with offering real value
  • Impeccable services for your products, and always keep your promises
  • Offer FREE products, advice, knowledge
  • Over deliver, it is always a good surprise when you advertise a bonus, and actually add another 2 unannounced bonuses, all of them really good value.

How to Use Viral Marketing to Drive Traffic to Your Site
There are several factors involved in designing an effective marketing program using the viral marketing approach.

Step 1: Define the potential of a particular social network. This will mean understanding the nature of the social circle, and what is more likely to appeal to persons who belong to the network. Understanding the nature of each of your networks helps you to set realistic goals for returns on your marketing investment.

Step 2: Put together your talking points. You need a direct and appealing approach to get the word out about your services or products. Talking points create a great platform for verbal communications, as well as drafting the text for an email campaign to direct at your social network.

Step 3: Make it easy to find your site. In email communications, this may be accomplished with a link, or with a banner ad. Consider purchasing a shorter and easy memorable domain names.

Step 4: Be proactive, ask your contacts to spread the word. Looks like people often have to be reminded at the right time. If by nature you are shy, well, you have to make a serious conscious effort to change this.

How to Make Your Product Viral
Almost any good or service could be marketed with the use of the viral approach.

Step 1: Use the right social network for the viral marketing. I mean good "targeted traffic".

Step 2: Identify uses or applications for your product line.

Step 3: Provide enough information to make it easy to pass on details. At the same time, keep it simple enough that your contacts do not feel as if they are selling for you.

Step 4: Do not think that all products are fine for all your social networks. Approaching viral marketing with a one size fits all approach could damage your reputation and actually close a lot of doors.

How to Avoid Viral Marketing Mistakes
Viral marketing has been around in concept longer than the actual term. As such, there is a lot of information that can help you avoid making the more common mistakes.

Step 1: Learn from a mentor. The best way for a new entrepreneur to learn the trick of the trade is to find someone who has already been down the path and willing to tell about it. Once you find a mentor, listen and learn.

Step 2: Never work stand alone. Get opinions from others that use viral marketing. They may have some applications that will be good models for a campaign you have in mind.

Step 3: Respect your social networks. People are often happy to help now and then, but don't think that everyone will be ready to spread the word about a new product or discount every few days. Your contacts should be
  • Employed with consideration for their time and the action
  • Respecting their space and expressing appreciation for what they do on your behalf, will go a long way toward keeping the relationships positive
  • Always keep a professional demeanor, a positive attitude

My grandmother use to say: "talk with others as you like them to talk with you", she wasn't a business women but she was so right!

The worst mistake you can make is to treat your networks like statistics and not as people.

Viral Marketing Secrets
While there are not much to say about secrets in viral marketing, there are a few tips about running a successful marketing initiative that could be employed more often, and create more success.

Step 1: Viral promotions come in several forms:
  • Emails that can be forwarded to a list
  • Hard copy documents: such as fliers, brochures, and business cards, that will also help provide some of your social networks the means to spread the word.
  • Online, there are: text messaging, images, banners and even video clips that can be passed from person to person.

Step 2: Organize your social contacts into groups based on their relationship to your product, such as the way that the contacts employ the good or service.

Step 3: As part of your etiquette, always say thank you and people often will be more than willing to pass on a good word. You also can enhance the appreciation with a small favor in return, such as recommending their services in some manner.

Step 4: There is a myth that learning a secret will act as a magic bullet that will make things happen overnight. Don't fall into the trap of thinking there is some magic bullet. Acquire knowledge and practice and things will work out eventually.

How to Use Blogs In Your Viral Marketing Campaign
Web logging, or blogging, has become a popular way of promoting a business and a easy one as well.

Step 1: Write 2-3 times per week.

Step 2: Make it simple to pass on materials. You can use a blog to create columns, lists, and other documents that readers can pass on to their friends and acquaintances.

Step 3: Allow comments to your blog writings.

Step 4: Always maintain strict control of your Blog. Set up the site so that you have to review and approve comments before they are available for public viewing. This will prevent spam messages being posted, and also allow you to have a "dofollow" Blog.

Step 5: A part of maintaining your control is to have your own domain for your Blog. More consideration about blogging are coming later.

Building Lists with Viral Marketing
Viral marketing is an ideal way to build up mail listings that can be used to promote your business. YES, "The Money is in the List".

Step 1: Make it easy for people to opt in. A sign up page on your web site is a good idea.

Step 2: Use banner ads in your initial contact to your social network. Those are easy to pass on, and will make it easier for interested parties to find you and sign up.

Step 3: Make sure your contacts pass on the word that it is possible to sign up for updates on sales and promotions on your products.

Step 4: Make sure all your efforts to employ viral marketing to build up your lists are conducted in a style that leans toward invitation, and not coercion.

In summary. Viral marketing is definitely a strategy that makes the best use of one of the most important assets any business owner can have.

How to do email Marketing right

Email marketing represents a strategy to connect with potential customers. As a means of accomplishing the task of direct marketing through the use of electronic mail, if used properly, email marketing is:

  • Inexpensive
  • Quick, and
  • Have excellent chances of producing revenue.

Email Marketing Basics
Just as with any type of marketing approach, email marketing employs a few basic understandings that help to give the strategy form and function.

Email marketing is direct marketing. The advertising goes from the seller to the prospect customer in one simple process; you get the information to the consumer, who either responds or deletes the email.
All that is required to launch an email marketing campaign is:
  • A computer
  • An Internet connection
  • An email account
  • A qualified list of email addresses, and
  • Some skills to prepare effective unique messages.
In short, just about everyone can acquire the basic tools for an email campaign.
Solid email marketing activity involves crafting straightforward advertising that:
  • Tells enough to entice the consumer, but
  • Not enough to wear out the reader.

Just about anyone can learn the basics of email marketing, but it takes some effort, common sense, and learning from your mistakes, and presenting in the most concise and provocative means possible.

How to Boost Your Sales through Email Marketing
Using the concept of email marketing properly will result in getting a lot of attention, and greatly increase your chances of making a lot of sales.

Step 1: Define your audience. This will involve knowing your product inside and out, and understanding how it can be used by different consumer markets.
This step will help you to use the new features of aWeber that implies more granularity and treating different groups with different advertising.

Step 2: Qualify your distribution list. What you want is a set of email addresses where there is a reasonable expectation that the recipients will read the email and not just toss it into the trash. This means learning the difference between a qualified contact list and an unqualified one.

Step 3: Make the Subject Line of the Email Interesting; Make Your Prospect Curious Starting With The Title. This is your first chance to connect with a consumer.

How to Build an Email List You Can Target To
While it is possible to purchase an email contact list, I don't advise to do it. You must create your own list using a few simple strategies.

Step 1: Use your web site. Placing a sign up page or link on your web site helps to ensure that anyone who wants to know about upcoming product offerings or specials can choose to opt into your email list.

Step 2: You can use Message Boards to post short ads about your services. Place those ads, and be sure to include a link back to that sign-up page on your web site.

Step 3: Employ offline advertising as well as online resources: Business cards, write-ups in local trade magazines and newspapers. Always provide the option to sign up for updates on product promotions and sales.

Step 4: Start a blog. People love to read about how to use different products and services. Use your blog to get the word out about all the things your affiliates have to offer, and make sure there is that link back to the sign-up page.

How to Get People to Notice Your Email Signature
Your email signature can be a means of confirming your identity or a way to generate some interest in what you have to offer.

Step 1: Get the attention using visuals, use a short and intelligent slogan, followed by either an icon that is a link to your web site, or a URL for your site.

Step 2: Resist the temptation to make a cute signature. An email signature must create the image of being professional; it must be an asset for you.

How to Use An Auto-responder In Your Email Marketing
Auto-responding software has become a part of email marketing campaigns. What you need to set up the auto-responder to maximize your chances of generating a sale?

Step 1: You need to create an effective response text:
  • Thank the potential customer for their query
  • Provide the benefits not the features of your product
  • then provide the URL or an ad banner to get them directly to your product or business you advertise.
Step 2: Make the entire process simple

Step 3: Make sure the auto-responder will archive information about the responses
.
Step 4: Keep in mind your auto-responder can be configured to send out confirmation of the email. This way you show professionalism, you produce a targeted list, a list of people who want to receive info from you.

How to Increase Your Subscribe Rate

Step 1: Make it easy to subscribe. No one wants to spend 5 minutes on signing up process for the privilege of receiving your email. The easier the process, the more likely those visitors to your site will decide to sign up.

Step 2: The most successful opt-in list is one that request:
  • email and
  • first name.

If you create a long opt-in list in which you request address, phone, and other personal details you will end up creating suspicions, and intimidating people.

Step 3: Post on boards, forums, ezines. There are plenty of places on Internet that allow marketers to post ads about their products. Place some ads that are focused on signing up for emails on product offerings, making sure to include a link back to your sign up page, a good and suggestive signature box. In other words, make some noise to create a good amount of traffic.

Step 4: Make sure that people understand that they are signing up to receive periodic emails from you. This means being crystal clear in the text that you use for your ads and in your appeal to your existing email subscribers.

How to Make Your Subscribers Active and Happy
Keeping your subscribers receptive to email offers is essential, if you are going to make money from the connection.

Step 1: Don't overdo the emails. Once a week is likely going to be the most frequent you can get by with in most cases without angering your subscribers. Bi-weekly or monthly would be safer. If you have a good reason to send 2 email in the same day, apologies and explain why you do this.

Step 2: Don't send big fat emails that take forever to open and read.

Step 3: Make it an easy and pleasant read. Your text should be direct and to the point. I little humor will be welcome but don't overdo it.
Include:
  • A short description of what you are offering
  • Why you are offering it, and
  • Where to go in order to get more detail and/or place an order.

Keep is simple, and your subscribers will continue to greet your emails with a positive attitude.

How to Grow Your Email List
Growing your email list is easy, if you employ a few basic approaches.

Step 1: Keep going advertising.

Step 2: Ask your current subscribers to help. Good word of mouth can make a huge difference. Create polls, surveys, this will motivate your list to participate and you will be surprised how usefully the input can be.

Step 3: Optimize the presence of your web site. Learn some SEO techniques, monetize with Google Adsens, create reviews in Blogs, this is an example of a blog created by me for reviews (this type of blog must contain word review in domain):
http://affiliatemarketingreviews-mc.blogspot.com

In summary. It is true, email marketing has been hurt by the backlash caused by unsolicited email advertisements (we call it spam), and there are plenty of ways to use the strategy as part of an ethical and positive approach. By being responsible in creating, maintaining, and utilizing the email list, you will be able to increase both your income and your prestige as an Internet or Affiliate Marketer.

How To Create A Product

Choosing to make your own products to sell will be rewarding.

You can take a great deal of pride in what you offer to the world, and the process in not as complicated as looks at the first glance.

Product Creation Basics:
There are a few simple steps that apply to the creation process, no matter what type of Digital Product you have in mind.

Step 1: You must have a vision. Imagine your product, see it in your mind's eye. Before you can give the product a physical presence, you need to know exactly what you want to create. While your vision may change a little during the creation process, starting out with a frame helps to keep you on track.

Step 2: Do research. You need to get some background on other similar products out there. Even if you think your idea is totally unique, still do some research. Learning about what is already on the market may influence how you design your product, so that:

  • It will appeal to a particular market, or
  • Be able to distinguish itself from the competition in some manner, or
  • Give up on your idea because the balance between popularity and competition is not in your favor

Step 3: Make good use of surveys, polls, along the way. Putting together some physical samples of your product, we call it - free hidden chapter techniques, this can serve as a tangible way to manage your progress, and is an important step for pre-selling phase as well.

Step 4: You have to make sure your product will do what it is designed to do. Set up a number of test scenarios, and use them to make adjustments.

How to Outsource Writing Projects
Chances are you will need some copy for sales materials. While you can write the copy yourself, it may be more cost effective in the long run to engage the services of a professional writer.

Step 1: Here are a few great places to outsource writing projects:
http://www.elance.com
http://www.guru.com
http://www.scriptlance.com
http://www.rentacoder.com
http://www.need-an-article.com

Step 2: Craft your advertisement for the project very carefully. Be realistic about the deadline. If you don't want to publish a rate for the project, make sure to ask respondents to include a bid or quote.

Step 3: Review each of the responses carefully. Never chose the cheapest offer. I am not saying to chose the most expensive, it is more important to be not the cheapest.

Step 4: Don't discard any of the contact information you gather. While a particular writer may not be ideal for your current project, there is a chance that he or she would be a good fit for another project down the road.

How to Outsource Your Graphic Design Work
If you consider outsourcing your graphic design work, there are plenty of on-line sites where you can connect with freelance graphic designers.

Step 1: Always go with some specifics about your needs, this will make it possible for respondents to address your needs and make the selection process much easier for you.

Step 2: Always request samples. While a resume may indicate the perfect candidate, samples will help you identify graphic designers that have both the vision and the skill set that will make a positive impact.

Step 3: Only if the samples grab your attention, move on to talking about specific terms and conditions.

Step 4: You can use a recommended designer if you like somebody else graphics. I do my own graphics, but when I need to use a graphic designer, I use and recommend
Planet Divinity. I contacted PD because I noticed some special graphic design on the Website of a fellow marketer, I called him and I asked who did his design. It was a pleasant working relationship.

How to Create Your First Product
You need to have a product that sell, all the great copy and all the wonderful graphics in the world will not earn you a penny. Along with the style, you need to deliver content. As Seth Godin uses to say, you need the 3 Rs: unique, useful, up-to-date product.

Step 1: Keep it simple. You want a product that can be demonstrated to be valuable for specific applications. Trying to design something that is a one size fits all product can be difficult, to say the least.

Step 2: Pick a good name, it may be informative, but not a cute one, must be a name that will catch attention, will be very easy to remember, and will include important key words as well.

Step 3: Know the product inside and out. Create something that will effectively meet a common need that people has.

How to Find Willing Buyers for Your Product
Once your product is finished, you have to build a customer base.

Step 1: Identify your target audience.

Step 2: Once you have a handle on your target audience, find the places they hang out. This means looking for ways to advertise on-line and off-line where people who meet the client profile are likely to be found. Getting the word to the right sources will make all the difference.

Step 3: Promote your on-line presence. Include as many appropriate keywords and long tail keywords as possible in your on-line copy, without damaging the integrity of the text. The higher you rank in on-line searches, the better chance you have of making a sale.

Step 4: Make the ordering process as simplistic as possible. Complicated ordering strategies are a great way to turn off a customer before the first order is ever purchased. Keep it secure, but keep it simple.

How to Avoid Common Creation Mistakes
It is easy to make mistakes in the process of creating a new product.

Step 1: Don't try to do everything at once. Establish an progressive schedule, addressing each phase of the product creation in a logical manner of progression, and stick to the schedule. Completing one phase before moving on to the next one. All these sound common sens but they are so important. I mention them to be sure you pay attention..

Step 2: Make no assumptions about the quality of your product. Test it, then test it again. In the end, you will need to be firmly behind the product you make in order to promote it effectively.

Step 3: Don't assume the physical appearance does not matter. Use appropriate packaging, color schemes, and other elements that will attract customers, and also help them to begin connecting with the product even before it is used.

How to Find Joint Ventures to Market Your Product
One way of establishing yourself in the marketplace is to create a working relationship with other people.

Step 1: Look for businesses that market products that are complimentary to your own. Associating your product with other products that are a natural need will make it easier for both companies to increase sales. If you sell digital cameras, it will make sens to find websites which sell accessories for digital cameras.

Step 2: Research potential partners carefully. You want to make sure that the business you associate with will provide products that are of similar quality to yours. This will enhance your reputation as being serious about how consumers view your product, and whom you choose to link with in order to promote. The right partner will create a very positive image, but picking the wrong associate can damage your credibility in ways that could take years to overcome.

How to Make Money with Your New Product
The whole point of developing a new product is to make some money from your efforts.

Step 1: Get your web site up and running. People are shopping on line in greater numbers than ever. Creating an on-line presence is crucial.

Step 2: Consider on-line auctions.

Step 3: Go to seminars. Setting up at conferences and seminars will allow you to interact with interested persons immediately.

Step 4: Think local as well as global.

Step 5: Use all the means of Internet advertising including Web 2.0. and MLM.

How to Get Started With the Product Creation Today
All great products have a beginning. In most cases, they are not spectacular in nature, but in fact start off with a few simple steps. Just start today to get the ball rolling.

Step 1: Get out some index cards. Write down random thoughts and ideas about a product on each index card, with no more than one idea per card. Keep in mind that the process does not have to be organized from the first word of the notes. Use this step to write down anything that comes to mind, and worry about making sense of it later.

Step 2: Next, organize your notes. You can do this physically, by spreading out all the index cards, and begin to set aside the ones that seem to have no connection to any of the other thoughts. Slowly, you will see a pattern emerge, this will form the outline for your idea.

Step 3: As you move along, some of those stray thoughts that did not seem to fit earlier will suddenly make a lot of sense. As this happens, incorporate them back into the main collection.

Step 4: Once you have the skeleton of your product idea, begin to flesh it out. Go back to each card and elaborate on how the detail on that card will progress to the idea on the new card. When you are done, the foundation will be in place and you can undertake the creation process directly.

In Summary. Product creation can be an exciting undertaking. Not only is the potential for financial rewards an attractive option, but there is also the factor of the personal level of satisfaction that is realized when your product finds a place in the marketplace. With proper planning, careful execution, and the right publicity, creating a new product will lead to fulfilling a lot of dreams.

What Blogging will do for your Affiliate Marketing

Blogs are a phenomenon that has emerged as part of the Internet experience.

Providing a means for persons to articulate their opinions on a number of topics, Blogs can also be a great way to promote products or services. Between keyword optimization, content, and quality of the remarks posted on a Blog, the tool can be very helpful in building a revenue stream.

Blogging 101
The key of success for a Blog will be a high level of readership. There are a few very simple things to keep in mind if you want to have a successful Blog.

Step 1: Keep it focused. In order for a Blog to build up a readership, there needs to be some central topic that impacts all the postings. The topic can be:

  • Very broad, such as a particular religion, a political party, an entire industry
  • Very narrow like my garden flowers
  • A physical location, such as a state or city.

People interested in reading about the subject matter will bookmark the site and come back to read it on a regular basis.

Step 2: Use banner ads on your Blog. Make sure they are relevant to the general topic in some manner.

Step 3: Update the Blog regularly. Three or more times a week is not too much. Fresh content will keep a person coming back for more, which provides more chances for them to click on an ad and generate some revenue for you. On top of that, search engines love regularly updated sites with relevant content.

Step 4: Keep the content accessible. Unless you are attempting to cultivate an audience with a penchant for technical jargon, it is important to choose your words wisely. Make sure the verbiage is easily understood. When technical terms are necessary to get across a point, make sure to include a short and concise explanation.

Blogging Guidelines For Internet Marketers
Putting together an effective blog is a lot like putting together any web site. You need:
  • Opt-in Form
  • Function and
  • Purpose

How you achieve those three elements?

Step 1: When it comes to presentation, you will want to choose a design that will be visually appealing. Header and title are very important, use your best keyword or long tail key in the title. For sidebar I recommend a 3 column layout, this way you can use a lot of widgets. An opt-in form is extremely important because we want to concert readers into subscribers. Put the opt-in in a prominent position and give people a good reason to opt-in to your list. Always offer something in return for doing so.

Step 2: Function is another important element. You want your Blog to be:
  • Easy to navigate, info must be easy to retrieve. The easier it is for readers to find what they want, the better chances you have of holding their attention long enough to either sell one of your products or generate some revenue from them.
  • When the Blog will grow, a search function will help to retrieve content.
  • A RSS button for your RSS feed and Social Bookmarking buttons are important, you will see the effect in time.

Step 3: Purpose is a third basic guideline to observe. You have to keep your target audience in mind. Blogs that try to cover too much ground are often dull and lack interest. While you may have a broad subject for your blog, give the detail a spin that provides a focus to the subject. This will allow you to target readers who want to narrow their focus a little.

How To Use Your Blog To Promote Your Products
One of the great things about a blog is it your own space to make your case in any way you like. Here are some ideas of how to make good use of the blog to sell your product line.

Step 1: You need visitors, returning visitors and you need to build relationships on-line. Incorporate applications of your products into your blog entries. Offer useful content and stay in your niche.

Step 2: Use links, which look like links, to get people to go where you want them to go. If you have a site for your product, and have the ability to take orders, make sure there is a link on your blog. If you sell your products on-line at other sites, such as an auction site, add the links to your blog. The easier you make it to order a product right now, the better the odds that a reader will take the plunge.

Step 3: Advertise discounts, specials for your products on your blog. Someone may not be interested in paying full price for a first time try, but if you offer a discount over a short period, there will be those who will decide to give your product a try. If it lives up to the expectations, the consumer is likely to be willing to pay full price next time. Don't forget about the FREE items which have an psychological effect.

How To Set Up An RSS Feed For Your Blog
RSS feeds are a form of web feed that can be used to get the word out about specific articles or entries on a blog. You can use this tool to your advantage in several ways.
Set up your RSS feed using FeedBurner - http://www.feedburner.com

Step 1: Use the concept of an RSS feed to compose short summaries of the articles on your blog. These can be used to set up automatic check-ins with favored sites, so that people who like to read new content can know when you post something new.

Step 2: Opting into a subscriber list provides you with a built in audience that has some interest in your topic.

Step 3: Once you are part of an RSS network, you can rest assured that your content is getting out to a wide variety of people. The simple name recognition that is generated by setting up an RSS feed, will serve you well in the years to come.

Step 4: Use only plug-ins or widgets that:
  • enhance or support your content or
  • help build your community and contribute to the relationship with your subscribers

Step 5: Nofollow is an attribute that can be added to links to discourage Comment Spam. By default WordPress 1.5 and greater assigns the nofollow attribute to all users.
By removing this tag, bloggers are making the links that their visitors leave when they sign in a comment count towards backlinks for their site. You transform your blog in a dofollow Blog which will help your ranking. This is one blog what is dofollow:
http://michaelacernescu.com I set up the messeges to be approved by me, and daily I delete spam emails, but it is OK because I have a lot of backlinks from my visitors.

Step 6: I recommend a link at your Twitter, which is the fast growing social networking on the web now. Write something simple as:

Follow me on Twitter. ( I didn't put a link because Twitter still has problems with API.)

How to Quickly Turn Blog Posts into Profits
Blogging can be a great way to generate revenue in a short period of time. Here are some tips that will help the process.

Step 1: Keep the content focused at all times. Staying away from your core subject can make the site less meaningful to the people who are likely to buy your products. Promote yourself, but be sure to do it in a way that holds the interest of the readers.

Step 2: Make is easy to buy something. The ads on your blog should be easily viewed and accessed.

Step3: Promote your partners. If you are selling products at a particular site, then make it a point to steer your readers to not only your offerings, but to the site in general. This will increase the chances that readers will want to visit the site, and will start by visiting the portion of the site that is devoted to your products.

Step 4: Avoid getting too long winded with any one post. Long posts tend to discourage people with limited time, and that in turn means the loss of an opportunity for you. Keep it to a few paragraphs, and make the content direct, and the chances of keeping the attention long enough to make a sale.

In summary. Blogging can be a great way to express your thoughts and also make some money at the same time. With some planning and forming an idea of what you want to accomplish with the blog, you can come up with a design and concept that will help you achieve your goals.

Why Resell Rights are Important?

RR are the most important part of Affiliate marketing, they can generate viral traffic.

Resell rights means you buy a given good or service, and you are able to resell it at a profit. There are several different categories of resell rights, with each of them having certain defining characteristics.

Note: When you have a product with Resell Rights, read carefully the license, each author creates his own list of DO and DON'T rules. You have to stay on your own rights stated in license.

Resell Rights 101
Under the generic name of "Resell Rights" you will find the following types of resell rights:

  • Resell Rights
  • Master Resell Rights
  • Private Resell Rights
  • Rebranding
Type 1: Basic Resell Rights have to do with being able to buy a product and sell it to one of your own clients. Read the license, generally, there are restrictions on how you can brand the product, as well as a suggestion about the amount you can charge for the product.

Type 2: Master Resell Rights have all the privileges of basic resell rights, but also create the right for your customers to resell the product as well.

Type 3: Private labeling is an approach to resell rights that have been going on for many decades. While the name of the original manufacturer is still intact, and the product is still recognizable as being an original, a private labeling right allows you to customize the product for a specific audience.

Type 4: Rebranding is perhaps the most open form of resell rights, and one of the most popular. With this option, you acquire an existing product and repackage it under your own brand name.

Getting Started With Resell Rights Products
If you have decided that marketing products that are developed by another business is for you, keep reading.

Step 1: Draw on your past experience. In general, it is easier to market products when you have some personal knowledge of how to use the good or service. This approach allows you to get a jump on understanding the assets and the liabilities that are associated with the product.

Step 2: Check out the condition of the market. Even if you know a product well, the market may already be saturated with persons who are promoting various incarnations of the good or service. Look for something that you know well, but that is not currently being sold by everyone under the sun.

STEP 3: Look into opportunities that involve the type of resell rights that you want.
There is no point in wasting time on product lines where rebranding is not possible, when that is really what you want to do.

If you want to keep it simple with basic resell rights, stay away from deals where the emphasis is on private labeling or rebranding.

How to Find Resell Rights Products
You probably heard that a good salesperson can sell anything, this is partially true. The fact is that there usually has to be some degree of love affair between the seller and the product in order for the process to work at his best. This means you will need to find the right products to market.

Step 1: Go after what you know. This could mean that you draw on previous work related experience with various products, or that you make good use of knowledge you acquired as a result of pursuing a hobby.

Step 2: Look for something that is not already done to death. Search the balance between the popularity (demand) and the competition. I am working on a lens about this type of balance.

Step 3: Research first, commit later. No matter how good a resell deal looks on the front end, do your homework before committing your time and possibly a portion of your resources to the project.

Step 4: Go to Google and type in "your topic" + "resell rights". You'll end up with a long list of sites selling rights to products related to your subject.

The Top Five Resell Rights Selling Strategies
Reselling products combines the best of two different worlds. You have the chance to draw on the strengths associated with a developed product, and still have the chance to add your own special touch.

Step 1: Look at the marketing strategy used by the author. This will provide you with some valuable tips to use in your advertising and promotion schemes. Use it only as a guide line.

Step 2: Look for ways to present the product to a new market sector.

Step 3: Use a variety of advertising mediums.

Step 4: Create new advertising copy and graphics that will make the product seem fresh and new. This is especially important if you plan on reselling a product under its own name. Bringing a new approach will make all the difference in your level of success.

Step 5: Last, test drive your market schemes before launching them. Making sure that the campaign has the right impact at consumer level..

How to Create Your Own Resell Rights Products
There is no rule that says you have to start out with someone else's products. You may be able to create your own product and then engage a number of resellers to handle the marketing and sales efforts for you. In a nut shell:

Step 1: Keep it simple.

Step 2: Definitely offer some level of Resell Rights, (my preference is MRR - but is based on the product as well) but make the resell strategy as simple as the product itself.

Step 3: Consider digital products as the core of your product line.
  • Ebooks, videos, eCourses can easily be resold
  • They are easy to generate
  • The cost involved in production is very low.
Step 4: Include the necessary materials for your customers to be able to resell your product. Examlple:
  • emails
  • signatures
  • sales letter
  • graphics
  • blog and/or articles
  • license
  • the product PDF and/or Word form ( based on the license)
How To Use PLR Resell Rights Products
Private Label Rights are associated with taking an existing product and obtaining permission to adapt or alter the product so that you become the author of the item that will be resold. But your have responsibilities as a reseller.

Step 1: You actually have the right to resell two products in most cases.
  • One product will simply be the same product you purchased, with no changes, additions, or modifications.
  • The second product will be the adaptation of the primary product, reworked by you. While you will still acknowledge the primary product as the work of another person/business, you are free to claim authorship of the adapted version.
Step 2: There may be some limits on what you can and cannot change within the product. Usually, this is spelled out in detail in the license. Review the license first then begin to make the modifications.

Step 3: Research how the changes will impact the finished product. You want to preserve the integrity of the product, while at the same time adding your own angle to the direction and application of the product.

How to Make Money with Private Label Rights Articles
Private label rights articles are a great way to create an ongoing revenue stream. Keep in mind, you want to make the articles attractive to people who will want resell your products

Step 1: Make the articles informative. They should be long enough to include key facts about the subject matter, but at the same time not get too bogged down in detail. Talk about benefits not features. An article must have minimum 4 paragraphs

Step 2: Go with subjects that are of enduring interest. The idea with private label rights articles is to create revenue for a long time to come.

Step 3: Make sure that your resellers can take certain points in the article and adapt material of their own. This keeps the interest in your article alive for both resellers and for the buying public.

Step 4: Network your articles. Use:

Note: A Blog Carnival is a particular kind of blog community. Blog Carnivals typically collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic. A Blog Carnival is like a magazine. It has a title, a topic, editors, contributors, and an audience. Editions of the carnival typically come out on a regular basis. Each edition is a special blog article that consists of links to all the contributions that have been submitted, often with the editors opinions or remarks.
If you are blogging on s specific topic, the carnival is the place to share your work with like-minded bloggers.
Blog Carnival is the place to come:
  • to find carnivals you are interested in
  • to submit your blog articles to carnivals where they belong, and
  • to organize and maintain carnivals.

In summary. Learning about the various types of resell rights, and how to apply them to your economic goals, can be a lucrative enterprise. By researching and choosing products that appeal to you, the chances for launching your own successful resell business are very good indeed.

How To Generate Traffic

Focus on those chanels which are likely to generate the largest return for the smallest costs.

Advertising and promoting is an attempt to drive traffic to your website.

We divide traffic in 2 distinctive categories: Paid and Free.
Other classification of traffic is based on what you use: Classic methods, Web 2.0 methods, Traffic Exchange.
There isn't a distinct line between them, but in general Web 2.0 is producing FREE traffic, classical methods, traffic exchange are paid or free.

This module is about classic methods. Next one will be only about Web 2.0 methods to produce traffic. Some overlapping is inevitable on this subject

Traffic generation concepts.
Traffic Generation is a subject on his right I outline some of your best options for traffic generation.

Step 1: How to Generate Traffic for Your Blog, (it is an indirect way to generate traffic for your sites.)

  • For many, writing a blog is something they do in order to vent their frustrations with the world, comment on current events, or simply do the thing they love most.
  • For others, a blog is a tool to generate traffic and sell a product, whether directly or indirectly.
  • For other, it is a combination of both.

Whatever the case may be, however, no one wants to write a blog that no one reads. So here are some simple methods to get the traffic flowing to your blog.
  • Fresh content, it turns readers off to see your last post was a month ago. People like to feel what they are reading-particularly in blog form-is up to date. Plus, the more frequently your blog is updated, the more frequently the search engines will crawl you.
  • Blog Linking, this is a great way to get traffic from others, and, of course, do them the favor in return. As long as you have a blog worth reading and are willing to reciprocate, there's no reason why you can't get other bloggers to link to you, thus making their traffic your traffic.
  • Stir the Pot, people don't want to read timid blogs. Everyone has an opinion, including you. ontroversy creates readers. If you have strong opinions about something, don't be afraid to let it all hang out in your blog.
Step 2: How to Generate Traffic for Your Site
One of the most frustrating tasks for any new webmaster is finding out how to bring visitors to their exciting new site. Nothing can kill your enthusiasm faster than creating new content that no one ever looks at. What will bring traffic to your website:
  • Keywords, Keywords, Keywords, long tail keywords as well. Their importance cannot be overstated. Gone are the days when you could simply put some relevant meta tags on your web pages and call it a day.
  • Backlinks, they are links to your website on other websites but you need backlinks from sites which are well ranked and have a lot of traffic.
  • Write articles with well crafted resource box that contains your URLs
  • Write comments on Forums where you have created a signature that contains your URLs
Step 3: How to Optimize Your Site For Natural Search Engine Traffic
Search engine traffic is the most powerful form of Internet availability. Studies have shown that visitors who find sites through natural search are up to ten times more likely to stay and even buy from the website.
Ways to optimize their site to increase their search engine ranking:
  • Make Your Site Keyword Rich. It has been stated dozens of times before, but this is the most important aspect of ranking well with the search engines. Now, this doesn't mean filling your site in a such a way that will create the impression of spaming.
  • Avoid Duplicate Content. Nothing will bring down the wrath of the search engines faster than filling your site with content that can already be found elsewhere. In order to rank well, your site must be full of unique content .
Step 4: How to Use Pay Per Click Advertising
It is one of the most powerful forms of Internet promotion: the pay per click programs offered by the major search engines. Each one has its own specifics, but there are some standards that apply to all types of the major engines.

Note: the problem is that the engines can change their own rules over night and this means you have to keep on eye on them and adapt to the new, which can be unknown yet. It is laughable but it is true. The engines aren't considering to tell us in advance or explaining the new changes. We have to learn to live in this jungle, and personally I don't like and use PPC.

Here are some ways to use PPC advertising to bring traffic to your website.
  • Finding a Balance between bidding too much for a particular keyword and bidding too little. The key is to find that happy medium, and this can only be done through trail and error.
  • Improve the Ad, Improve the Traffic. A common mistake is when venturing into the PPC world ignoring the quality of their ad in favor of keywords. Make your ads relevant and helpful, and you will soon find that the cost of your favorite keywords will go down.
  • Follow Through. The best keywords and the best ads won't do anything for you if your landing page is not optimized to keep the traffic you get. Make sure when people click on an ad promising one thing, they don't wind up on a page that is completely irrelevant.
  • Make a separate landing page for each ad
  • Conduct split testing, don't create a separate site, but copy over the one you have, change just an word and test in parallel with the initial one.
Step 5: How to Retain Traffic. Turn your unique visitors into returners:
  • Bookmark Encouragement This is an old trick, but it is surprisingly successful in bringing return traffic. Give a little instruction on how to do it for all browsers.
  • Get Your Fresh, Hot Newsletter. This is one of the most reliable ways to secure repeat traffic: Fashion a form on your website that allows people to subscribe to your newsletter. Send a newsletter out every couple of weeks or so. Put things in the newsletter that will encourage people to return to your website (sales, promotions, you get the idea).
Step 6: How to Select Keywords for Your Site Keywords are the backbone of website success but you have to select the ones that will help you the most:
Relevancy is Everything. Make sure, above all, that the keywords you choose are relevant to the content you are posting and, ultimately, to the products you are trying to sell. The tools to use to find keys:
  • SEO Book
  • Google Labs will help you determine trends based on the latest searches.
The thumb rule is you need keys with high popularity and low competition.

Step 7: How to Generate Traffic By Posting on Forums
Forum postings are one of the easiest and most successful ways to bring traffic to your website or blog. People like to help people who they respect, admire. By joining a forum that is relevant to the content of your website, you are joining a community of potential customers.
The first thing you'll want to do when signing up for a relevant forum is to place a link to your website in your signature. Direct advertising is considered spam by most message boards and it will cause your stay in any one particular place to be brief and unprofitable. A much better way is to stick around, make several posts each day, make friends, be helpful, and let people discover your website on their own.
Another benefit of posting on forums with a signature is the creation of your own backlinks.

Step 8: Link Exchange Directories
There are directories on the Internet where you can sign up (for free) and have your website placed in a directory along with hundreds of other websites.
Most of these directories have an almost automated process with which websites can exchange links.

Step 9: Direct Contact
This method requires a little more personality and a little more work, but the results should be much more pleasant, you can get targeted traffic out of it. Simply find websites that are similar to yours. Then write up a proposal for link exchange and send it in an email to the webmaster. Worst case scenario: you don't hear back or get a refusal.

Step 10: Press Releases
There are a few free press release websites on the Internet where you can send in your pre-written press release and they will post it on the web for free. Even if the release itself doesn't bring the traffic flowing in, it will provide you with another link back, which should improve your search engine ranking.

Step 11: Traffic Exchange Sites or Multi Lever Marketing (MLM)
If you are a beginner and you don't want or don't have money to spend on PPC advertising you can start using MLM to generate free traffic.
The difference between MLM and Web 2.0 methods is with MLM you can see results in 1-2 month, with Web 2.0 you need at list 6 month but they are durable in time and there is a longer learning curve to do it right.
I know people that start with MLM and continue with Web 2.0 and paid methods when they are comfortable.
The most ingenious and simple system to use MLM is James Grandstaff's
Instant MLM Squeeze Pages
If you aren't introduce in MLM world, I'll give you 2 free reports to inform yourself:
1)How To Get Rich From any MLM Programs
2) 7 Secrets To Build a Productive Downline

In summary. Keep this in mind: through experimentation and practice, you will slowly start to gravitate towards the methods which generate the best quality traffic for the cheapest price. Once you find them, stick with them and maximize your gains from those particular sources, rather than spreading your efforts thin.

Get Free Traffic - Web 2.0 Applications Part I

This module is too big I devided in 2 Modules, this Part I

Web 2.0 is considered the new generation of Web Sites. The communication, interaction is the foundation of the new Web. For the beginning Web 2.0 generates some controversy because it is a powerful shift in mentality.

In Web 1.0 my Website was my property, just mine. Web 2.0 is like a big Forum in which you can publish your ideas, your comments, your recommendations, and

  • If you are right, you actually help the community and me
  • If you are wrong, other people will jump in the wagon and will publish there ideas, comments.
To be honest, I was a little skeptical for the beginning. But as soon as I realize the power of interaction with others, I completely changed my mind, and the new mentality got me.
Needless to say, I was delighted with:
  • The amount of traffic Web 2.0 got me
  • The interesting and talented people I met on line
  • How much I learned from others, I own evolution was the benefit of the Web 2.0 community
I am thinking now to find a negative aspect of Web 2.0, and I cannot find one, except you must put a lot of hard work and dedication into it - but this is not negative, isn't it?

What is part of Web 2.0.
  • Social Bookmarking and Social Networking
  • Video Sites
  • Pod Casting
  • Blogs
I'll take one at a time and tell you what they are, and what I learn using them. In a nutshell is as I previously said: FREE traffic, the fun of communication and interaction, a huge learning curve from other people experience.
General rules:
  • You'll achieve success implementing almost all parts of Web 2.0.
  • With other words: You really must create a network of communication which is targeted traffic because the people that will interact with you are interested in what you do.

Social Bookmarking
It is a generic name, Social Bookmarking includes sites in which people store, classify and share links.
Examples: del.icio.no, Digg, Furl, Yahoo's My Web 2.0, Flicker, Simply, Technorati, Blinkflip, Blinklist, Squidoo, Stumple Upon, Mywebtop, Bloglines, Fark, Twitter and so on.

Squidoo is my favorite, it is:
  • A platform that lets anyone build a web page (called lens) about any topic which interest you
  • It is FREE
  • It is easy, you can create a lens in just a few minutes

Calling a web page "lens" is confusing for the beginning, but you can define a lens as your viewpoint on a topic.
Lenses focus attention, drive clicks and even earn royalties. The secret is - your lenses must be noticed by the public and they are as:
  • Useful
  • Frequently updated and
  • Contains your unique expertize, point of view.
The successful lenses are the ones which follow Seth Godin's 3 U's rules:
    Useful - Updated - Unique
I heard a lot of comments about how much you have to work on your lenses to continue improve and update them.
The answer is yes and no! I hope you don't expect to improve the visibility of your work doing nothing! As a trick you can use a lot of dynamically allocated modules which will change automatically without your intervention, and is not hard if you have fun sharing your expertize.

But relevant content and frequently updating info are the key of your success allover: in Websites, Blogs, and Squidoo lenses, HubPages are no different.

Twitter is the fast growing site which produce traffic in a very short period of time, easy to use and friendly.
Twitter is a service for friends, family, to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question:
What are you doing?  This is a living proof that things what are simple are successful as well, and they connect better with to the public at large.

Following someone on Twitter simply means receiving their Twitter updates. How you receive the updates (on your phone, IM, or just on the web) is up to you. You can set your following preferences based on device, and then set notification preferences for each person you follow. Your followers are those who have elected to receive your twitters. Some Bloggers use Twitter as a mini-blogging tool.

I want to offer a list with Social Bookmarking sites. This is a dynamic field, new web sites are created as we speak, some vanish over the night.
A flat list will never be an up to date list. I have decided to replace a flat list with a link of a website page, and I pledge to maintain this page as accurate as I can:
http://www.ebookscamp.com/SocialBM.html

Social bookmarking Services
The first social bookmarking services is onlywire.com, it is a tool, you can submit with a single click your site to multiple Web 2.0 sites.
This is how is working:
Step 1: You go http://www.onlywire.com and you you create a free account on onlywire and free accounts on the following list of sites.
Note: step 1 is time consuming but only for the first time, as soon as you have the accounts, it really is a press of a button process.

Step 2: You fill in: a title, your site URL, list of key words (tags), a small comment about your site (very important, this small description will convince visitors to click on your site)

Step 3: With a click of a button onlywire post your site to the above list of 22 Web 2.0 sites. It is a superb service but you have to be considering, do not misuse (spam) the service, they may deactivate your account.

The second social bookmarking services is SocialMarker.com the process to submit is similar with the one I have described for onlywire.com.

Social Networking
The idea behind Social Networking is about being able to group people into specific groups - online community of Internet users.
As soon as you are granted access to a social networking website you can begin to socialize with the people in the group. Social Networking is usually open memberships where you begin to create your own network of friends.
Examples: MSpace, FriendFinder, Yahoo 360, Facebook, Orkut, FriendWise, Friendster and so on.
Social Networking sites are extremely popular, easy to use, and easy to navigate. You have to register and the majorities are free to use: Yahoo 360, MySpace.

The aim of Social Networking sites is to meet new people on line, get free access to what the community produce. The most popular is MySpace with over one hundred million members and growing.

Orkut is Google's social networking website; it is exceptional easy to use.

Video Sites.
They exploded in the last 2 years, it is the idyllic way to get your videos in the search engines quickly. Your rank will sky rocket, and with ranking means traffic and sales.
Examples: YouTube, Google videos, BlipTV, Flurt, SelfCastTV, Bott, ZippyVideo just to give you a couple.

Podcasting.
It is a method of publishing audio broadcasts via the Internet and listened to when listeners wish to. Podcastingis a convenient digital method of distributing updated audio info that can be listened to at the listener's discretion.

Podcasts can be played by iPod, digital audio player or a computer with an audio playing software. The beauty is that independent producers can be you and me, anyone, and there aren't any regulations about creating Podcast.
This is freedom and people really enjoy it!

My believe is the Podcasting has a great potential in future they will include content as well, not just audio and video even though now is an audio format.

Podcasts can drive traffic to you web sites in a number of different ways:
  • Adding your web site web address during the podcast. This will drive traffic to your web site as the podcasts become more popular
  • Another way that podcasts drive traffic to your web sites is by creating a buzz.

People love information; and podcasts can be on most any subject and are loaded to podcast directories. This means you will get a stream of traffic every day from these directories. As you do more podcasts with catchy titles and great content, people will come to your web site even more.

Podcasts can be interactive, which means you can offer them a free gift by stopping by your web site. This will do only one real thing; and that is drive more traffic to your site. Podcasts are being used more and more today and that trend won't stop anytime soon. If you use podcasts properly, you should have no problem driving more traffic to your web site.

There are also specialized podcasts which become more popular.
A couple of them:
Autocasting - is automatic generation of podcast from text
Vidcasting - is podcasts using video
Godcasting - is religious podcast
Palmcasting - is podcasting to Palm OS Based devices
Learncasting - is able to deliver instructional content by RSS
MediaRSS - is media file syndication used by Yahoo
Skypecasting - is recording Skype text, voice or video conversations
All of those are part of the big umbrella of Podcasting even though they a specialized.

We already have Podcast Directories:
http://www.podcastdirectory.com
http://www.digitalpodcast.com
http://www.podcast.net
http://www.podcast.yahoo.com

In all those directories you will find a lot of podcasts to choose from and download.

Get Free Traffic - Web 2.0 Applications Part II

Part II, this is the continuation of the previous module.

Blogs
Very popular, they are a distinctive category of Web 2.0 sites because of their conversational nature.

A Blog is an online journal wherein you can casually write your thoughts, ideas, opinions and practically anything that you want people to find out about your work, interests, expertize, even your life, hobbies.

Blogs come in different styles, formats, and settings, depending on the preference of the user. Many blogging sites, offer built in features such as hyperlink, straight texts, pictures etc. Some blogging sites, even allow you to put video and mp3's on your blogs.

The components of a blog are as follow:

  • A title which allows you to label your post
  • A body which is the content of your post
  • Trackback other sites can be linked back to your blog permanent link. Every post that you write has a URL, and when you refer to it use the post URL, not the main URL of your blog
  • Comments, this allow readers to post comments on your blog and is up to you to allow links in the comments
  • Answer to comments
Personally I use dofollow blog, allow links in comments, but I approve the comments to eliminate spam and abuse. If I get a comment: "thanks" I delete this comment, it is an implicit form of spam.

One of the advantages of blogging, is that it is made of only a few templates. This make it easier for blog users to create new pages, because it already has a fix setting that include: slots for title, body, barsite(s), category, etc.
This is especially useful for newbies, since they can start blogging right away. They can choose from a number of templates that blogging websites provide. In the last 2 year a lot of companies start to sell themes for blogging, they offer better design, some new functionality but the fundamentals are the same.

Anyone who wants to start a blog can do so by becoming a member of a blogging website of their choice. Once they've become members, they automatically become a part of that specific blogging community.

With a blog you want to build up a readership. You need a central topic which can be:
  • Very broad (such as a political party, a religion, my country, a sport and so on) or
  • A narrow topic (such as a my favorite pet, book, flower, beach and so on)
A lot of entrepreneurs benefit from blogging by promoting their businesses, with millions and millions of people logging onto the net everyday, blogging has become a lucrative move.

In the last year a group of bloggers who promote reviews of affiliate products grew tremendously, this was there way to sell affiliate products, and they ended up with big profits.
.
But by far, the most popular blog type is the one that takes the form of a personal journal, you have to put your sole on it. This is the kind that is usually used by first time bloggers. Individuals who want to document the daily struggle of their everyday lives find that blogging offers them a medium in which to express themselves. These types of blogs have a lot of success because the people like, stories, accomplishments, this type of blogs make people curious.

After you add a new post to your blog, go to:
http://pingomatic.com
and ping your blog, doing so you tell the world that your blog has been updated. Ping-o-matic is a service to update different search engines about new posts (be careful, don't abuse it).

Bloggers usually communicate within themselves. This is one of the appeals of blogging. It creates a community of people sharing their ideas, thoughts, and comments with each other. Create an account with MyBlogLog, and post a widget in your blog, you will be surprised how quickly you will create a community of readers and how easy is to interact with them.

Blogging is popular all over the world. There are no restriction rules when it comes to blogging except spaming.
Bloggers have the freedom to express themselves how ever way they want, and the best things about blogging, are that:
  • Most blogging sites are free
  • The blogs produce a lot of traffic
  • Can produce a lot of earnings, read Blogging To The Bank 3.0. It is definitely one of the best books I've ever read when it comes to building a successful blogging niche empire on the Internet. It teaches a very solid blue print plan that gives us the exact details on how to profit tremendously through online blogging.

There are numerous blogging websites to choose from on the net. This gives first time users the option of joining a blogging community that appeals to their interests.
You also can turn Blog Posts into profits, generating revenue in a short period of time:
  • Keep the content focused at all times
  • Make easy to buy something
  • Promote your partners/affiliates
Blogging is really for everyone. It is fun, simple and easy especially if you are using
https://www.blogger.com/start or
http://WordPress.com.
Then you want to sophisticate yourself you can use:
http://www.joomla.org.

I recommend using https://www.blogger.com/start which is owned by Google so you have a better chance of getting listed on the search engines.

If you plan on having a lot of affiliate links on your Blog, you must buy a domain for it and use WordPress with your own domain.

This is way I create one of my blogs with WordPress but in my domain:
http://michaelacernescu.com

And I create I review blog with Blogger, notice that word "reviews" is part of the title, it is mandatory to be like that other wise the affiliate links will be consider spam:
http://affiliatemarketingreviews-mc.blogspot.com

You will not notice huge success with just one of Web 2.0 Application, you have to have:
  • Almost all of them in place and
  • Connect them in a network.

Even though you will get both components, it takes time to build all the communities, one per each Application.

In summary. As you can see, the Web 2.0 is already established and this is the direction in which I think the development will go.
Keep this in mind: through experimentation and practice, you will slowly start to gravitate towards the methods which generate the best quality traffic for FREE or the cheapest price. Once you find them, stick with them and maximize your gains from those particular sources, rather than spreading your efforts thin.
