For those who adore footwear be it fashionable or fetish, there's only one place you can truly explore the world at your feet! The Bata Shoe Museum in Canada has a stunning if not curious collection of more than 13,000 shoes and related artifacts that span 4,500 years of history in four impressive galleries.

So, keep your eyes peeled for some pretty fancy footwook! How about those celebrity pairs from Queen Victoria's "empressive" ballroom slilppers, to Elvis Presley's blue suede shoes, or those tippy toes ballet pointes belonging to Canada's Prima Ballerina, Karen Kain!

OH THE WONDERS OF WORKWEAR
Speaking of clogs to keep the kids happy, it's probably time to consider what some hard-working folks wore back in the good old days!Yup, that's a rather curious clog if ever there was one.
Forget about cowboy boots with sharp spurs on them.
Methinks you'd best not mess around when those French Chustnut Clog Crushers come to town!

ONLY JESSICAL RABBIT KNOWS...

"Give a girl the correct footwear and she can conquer the world." -- Bette Midler, American actress, comedian and singer
ARE YOU A SHOE SHOPAHOLIC?

FACTS FROM HEAD TO TOE:
Cobblers and Shoemakers will be pleased to know that they've got two Patron Saints to call upon when doing some fancy footwork -- twin brothers named Crispin and Crispinian. And, they even have their own holiday...the Feast Day of Saints Crispin and Crispinian which is celebrated on October 25!

- Visited the shoe museum a few years ago when I was in Toronto. It was an interesting little tour. I loved the fact that the building is shaped like a shoe box.
