Battaion Cellars is no longer in business, but was the first winery in the Livermore valley to specialize in premium sparkling wines. Battaion Cellars wines were fermented in the traditional methode champenoise style—the process used in the Champagne region of France to produce the only sparkling wine properly referred to as Champagne.

Several Livermore Valley wineries are featured, including Thomas Coyne Winery, Livermore Valley Cellars, Fenestra Winery, Wente Vineyards, and artwork by Darcie Kent.
