About Beach Wedding Dresses and More

Beach Wedding Packages

I am reading a very useful e-book about Beach Wedding: Dresses, Ideas, Themes, and many great tips on how to organize your beach wedding and save some money along the way. It prompted me to create this lens and share with you my thoughts as I am getting through this book. You can get if you like...

What do brides think the most before the wedding? Surely about dresses, and for a beach wedding it is about Beach Wedding Dresses. They come in all styles - from conservative classic to modern creative to even wedding dress suits. You will see them below as I'll be posting photos of different ones.

Right here you see a pic of a celebrity beach wedding. Everyone knows Renee Zellweger? I bet! I love her as an actress. I found out that her wedding (tho not long-lived) was on the beach. She must have a good taste as far as the type of a wedding to have. But I think she also has a great taste in what type of a dress to wear. See how her dress enhances her neck and shoulders: look, ma - no straps! She looks wonderful in that pic, I think.

What we are left wondering is what shoes she wore. Her groom is certainly comfortable. I guess a bit too comfortable as he put his left had into his pocket. And his whole posture showes ...something. I am not sure I like that "something" in a wedding photo, even if it is a beach wedding photo.

But enough of him. He does not need to worry about the beach wedding dress. Wonder what you think about her dress? You already know my view, but do not let it influence your opinion. Her dress is classy in my view, but maybe you prefer straps, or sleeves, or both? More formal look?

Beach Wedding Dresses

I found quite a few photos with Beach Wedding Dresses, which I'll be posting (so visit here often and share with your friends who are thinking about a wedding). The one with this post seems to me rather standard, tho certainly very nice, kind of classic. I think one can never go wrong by choosing a classic look. More often than not I do prefer classic look in my clothes, but sometimes you want to feel a bit different. I say "feel" because what we wear does have an effect on how we feel.

Just recently I went shopping and took to a fitting room two pieces that normally I'd never even look at. Not because they were not nice, but because they were different than my usual style. I'll tell you, as I put them on I realized that this new look (and feel) could be me on occasion. And there you have it, folks - our economy got a little boost just because of how some clothes made me feel.

I am sure I am not the only one who thinks this way. And, getting back to Beach Wedding Dresses - my next post might show a dress that is not quite a "standard look". Just do not get me wrong - I do not think that opting for classic looking wedding dress is an easy way out. Not at all! It all depends what suites a person, what style brings out the best in a bride.

Beach Wedding Dresses - My Friends Story

Here is What a Friend of Mine Wrote After She Had Her Beach Wedding

Before I post photos of beach wedding dresses I found I'd like to share with you what my friend wrote about her beach wedding. She was happy to have her wedding on the beach and I suspect (jokingly tho) she wouldn't mind to have a couple more there :). Here is a part of her story. I might post other parts also. She doesn't mind...

An excerpt from her story:
"I was worried about my wedding dress. I was not sure at first about the time of the ceremony, daytime or at the sunset. We thought at first that the evening ceremony was better. As a result my first choice was a bias cut, floor length satin silk dress topped with a flower garland perfect for the sunset wedding. Then my girlfriends argued for a truly casual beach look with sarongs and matching tops, dressed up with barefoot "jewelry" shoes, and flowers in the hair. We have already chosen hibiscus and orchids as decorative flowers.

Then Mom suggested using lightweight fabric, and we chose silk in sand and ocean colors. Mom also loved a slip dress Cindy Crawford wore at her beach wedding. It was casual and allowed to dip toes in the ocean after the ceremony with no fear of ruining it. I did not even take time to think about it. My dress was almost exactly like Cindy's, except for another skirt layer in turquoise color a bit longer than the while one. I had flowers in my hair but no jewelry.

We were also not sure about the shoes. We discussed it with our wedding planner and he provided a red carpet to our faux alter on the beach to avoid getting heels stuck in the sand. He also suggested we could go barefoot for that true beach wedding feel! And we did.

Beach Wedding Dresses Variations - The Not So Traditional Look

Brides can be creative in choosing their Beach Wedding Dresses

Beach Wedding Dresses

So, what do you think? No no no, not about the girl in the photo :) I am asking about her dress! Some think she looks like a pirate. Could be a future partner of Johnny Depp? I believe she would fit the bill. Or, at least her dress will. Very nice, shows her body lines, see-through collar with the lots of "pearls". The background is nice too.

By the way, that reminded me - if you can find something on the beach where your wedding is taking place that can complement your wedding dress - take a photo next to it. I sure hope your photographer would be looking out for these things, but if you are saving money and using one or two of your friends, then do nor hesitate to give them pointers.

After all it is your wedding, and not just a regular one but a beach wedding, and its memories should last a lifetime. Something like the boat with a funky flag in this photo would jog your memories years after the wedding. You'll be telling you children and grand-children about this "photo-op"... And very possibly you'll be making up a story or two :)

Beach Wedding Dresses - Take This Photo If You Dare

I Love the Humor and Guts of This Bride in Her Beach Wedding Dress

Beach Wedding Dresses

Now, how about this photo? Granted, her choice of Beach Wedding Dresses is very pretty, but it is somewhat overshadowed by her pose. Wouldn't you say so? Wonder if their guests were encouraging her to display some flesh. Do you think her groom is aware and simply is looking away not to be embarrassed? Nah, I bet the photographer asked him to strike this pose...

But what about her dress? It sure looks different. It is rather long and flowing and puffy, and yet it easily opens up in the front. Or so I think, as she could have picked up the front part of it just for the pose as well. It has no straps, which is nice. A bit too much fabric for my taste, but then again, I prefer more fitting dresses, the ones closer to the body.

I am not sure which category to put this beach wedding dress into. It is somewhat of a standard wedding dress look, and yet it has certain features that make it stand out. I wish I could find a photo of this couple (or at least of a bride) in a more "conservative" pose. Not that I do not like her legs, but it would enable me (and you) to evaluate her dress better.

Beach Wedding Dress Idea in This Photo

Not Always Do We Need to See Every Beach Wedding Dress in Full Light...

Beach Wedding Dresses

I just loved this photo! Her Beach Wedding Dress is invisible on one hand, but on another hand we can more that see it, we can feel it, we can almost taste it! Oh, this flowing light fabric in the wind... Just keep in mind, brides, if there is no wind during you beach wedding, it might not look all that good. In which case you can take it off, if you wish and put back on when the wind picks up.

Of course, when was the last time you did not feel a breeze when on the beach? :) You can also see the outline of bride's body. I think it looks very complementary to her. It also shows some folds, which tell us a bit about how this dress is made. Its length only enhances the impression of good taste she has.

Although I realize, tastes differ and you opinion may vary. In which case feel free to share your thoughts on this photo and dress down below in the comments. I just happened to like the colors, the silhouettes, the design of her dress in this shot. Great photographer...

Wow... that sunset wedding photo is breathtaking! I didn't get married at the beach myself, but it sure looks romantic. Very nice lens.
