The Beatles Remastered Stereo CD Box Set

Ranked #13,159 in Music, #359,401 overall

The Beatles Stereo Box Set

All 13 studio albums released from 1963 through 1970 in the UK (including 1967's Magical Mystery Tour which was originally released as just an EP) are included in The Beatles Stereo Box Set.

All non album tracks released from 1962 through 1970 are included (on the Past Masters double CD set.) Many of The Beatles greatest songs were never included on their albums so this is very important.

These new remastered Beatles CDs (included in the box set also available for individual sale) have far superior sound quality to the older Beatles CDs that you may own now.

Beatles Album Overview

Each Of These Classic Albums Is Included In this Box Set

Please Please Me (1963)

The Beatles first album has a certain "energy" that comes from the fact that 10 of it's 14 songs were recorded in a single day. It also includes a few great early Beatles songs including the opener "I Saw Her Standing There" and the awesome cover that closes the album out "Twist & Shout."

With The Beatles (1963)

This album is most notable for "All My Loving." People were amazed at the time that they could include such a great song as "just an album track" and never release it as a single!

A Hard Day's Night (1964)

Their first great album. All 13 of it's songs were Lennon/McCartney originals. This is actually their only album that contained only Lennon/McCartney songs because all of their other albums either contained at least one cover and/or included songs by George Harrison.

Beatles For Sale (1964)

A very underrated album. No it doesn't rank among their best albums, but it does have some really good originals (in fact I think all 8 original songs are worth a listen.) The album is hurt by too many covers (it includes 6 mostly forgettable covers.)

Help! (1965)

I think this album is also underrated (in comparison to A Hard Day's Night.) Songs like "Help!," "Yesterday," & "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away" were a real artistic leap forward.

Rubber Soul (1965)

If A Hard Day's Night was The Beatles first great album then Rubber Soul was their first brilliant album. One can argue that this album includes more "stone cold classics" than any other Beatles album.

Revolver (1966)

Another big artistic leap forward. The studio experimentation on "Tomorrow Never Knows" still sounds futuristic today. The album includes so many different styles from the classical sound of "Eleanor Rigby" to the acid rock of "She Said She Said" to the Indian music of "Love You To."

Sgt. Pepper (1967)

The Beatles most famous album. And no, it is NOT overrated. In fact I think at this point it's actually underrated because so many reactionary type folks now claim it's overrated. It's brilliant.

Magical Mystery Tour (1967)

The purists cringe when folks call this one an album because it was originally released as an EP. But really it would have been hard to deal with it any other way as MMT includes 11 songs that are not heard on any other album. Would it really be better if they were all included on Past Masters? I don't think so. I actually think it holds together rather well as an album. It's their most psychedelic collection of songs.

The White Album (1968)

My pick for the greatest album of all time.

Yellow Submarine (1969)

I actually think it's more of a stretch to consider this a real Beatles album than MMT. After all it really only includes four new Beatles songs, 2 songs that were already included on other albums, and a bunch of George Martin's instrumentals.

Abbey Road (1969)

The Beatles most "modern" sounding album in my opinion. It's their biggest selling album in the US and it's also actually the last album they recorded (even though Let It Be was released after Abbey Road, it was recorded before it.) How many bands break-up at a peak like this?

Let It Be (1970)

The rough, dirty, sort of thrown together sound of Let It Be is actually endearing to me. I find it amazing how many people dismiss this album considering the amount of absolutely great songs on it. "Two of Us," "Across the Universe," "Get Back," "I've Got a Feeling," "The Long & Winding Road," & "Let It Be" are all on this album.

The Beatles Remastered Stereo Box Set

The box set includes all of these albums and the Past Masters set (2 discs) which contains all of their non album tracks from '62 through '70.
