Beauty Pageant Tips

You need to glide across that stage in such a way that
everybody's jaws just hit the floor. You can do this if you
are looking at this for your little girl to compete, as a teen
or as an adult contestant. It is your time to be the favorite!

You need to wow the judges so they can't take their eyes off
you...so they know that you're the winner as soon as they
see you.

You need to look your absolute best to give yourself the
confidence. So, when it comes to other parts of the competition
you'll pass through the stages with an ease and an assurance
that only comes with supreme confidence.

In short, you've got to knock 'em dead.

So you need some advanced, hardcore beauty pageant tips and techniques,
preferably from previous pageant winners or from someone
who's an 8 time winner!

The favorite.

in any competition, be it a little girls' competition,
a teen beauty pageant or an adult beauty pageant ---

So much so, that when you win, the judges will be asking
themselves why they ever picked your rival as a favourite
in the first place...it was OBVIOUS you were gonna win!

And once you start believing that, you're already halfway

I'll instill such a confidence in you that you'll be able
to enter any pageant and know that if you didn't win, it
was due to some error on the judges part.

Now, we all know that you must wear heels when you are wearing your
swimsuit because it looks classy and accentuates your legs and your calves.
(Secret tip here - work your calf muscles in the gym!).

And, we all know that walking across a stage in high heels with grace
and style is probably NOT the easiest thing to do. After all, they are
judging you on your grace, right? So, practice, practice and practice
some more walking smoothly and carefully with your chin and chest
lifted.

You have to think about being as graceful in a swimsuit walk as you
are when you are walking across the stage in your evening gown.

You can do this. It just takes practice and envisioning in your
mind how beautiful you look walking across that stage! This will
show a sense of self-confidence in your smile and in your
facial expression which is very important!

Let your eyes and your smile, say to the judges and to the
crowd, that you can handle anything, even a swimsuit on heels!

This, ladies, is the quality that your judges are looking for the
one who will hold the title!

Remember to choose your shoes in shades of tan, beige or
clear with a heel that will make your legs look longer.

When you start to work on your tan, for goodness sakes, use
a lot of caution. Tanning beds can fry your beauty away, so
do it in small increments or lay out in the natural sun for
30 minutes a day to get a natural tan.

And, if you are light-skinned and a dark red-head, perhaps
a dark tan would not enhance your beauty, but only take
away from it! Be thankful for your natural beauty and
protect it!

Most contestants naturally think that only white gowns always win, but that is not always the truth. When you choose an evening gown, pick one that best compliments your individual skin tone and your personal physique, or in other words, your own bone sculpture.

Each person is totally unique in the way that are built physically,
so don't copy or mimic someone else. You have your own natural
beauty lines.

And remember!!!!

Do practice walking in your new high heels before you leave the shop
where you purchased them, so you'll have an idea of how the dress feels when you are walking across the stage! Ask the store clerks how the length of your dress looks - does it need to be tailored, hemmed, altered in any way?

Times have changed. Beauty contestants are no longer restricted
to tight fits, but now are more about a free flowing skirt with a wrap or neckpiece.

Take your time and try on as many different styles as you have the
time to do, but then select only that special evening gown that
you feel most comfortable with!

It will show in your face, in your confidence level as you glide
across the floor and become the favorite that the Judges
are looking for!

Some sample questions to think about, practice in front
of the mirror and with others who really care about you
(a close friend or a relative) are:

Why did you enter this pageant?

What can one person do to feed the homeless?

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?

What kind of things did you do to prepare for this pageant?

Describe yourself in three phrases.

What is the biggest issue facing today's teens?

Now, comes the hard part - YOUR ANSWER

First ----

#1 Take a deep breath and mentally count to three before you say anything!

#2 Begin your answer by saying a phrase like, "I honestly believe that" or "It is my personal belief that."

#3 Above all, ANSWER the question that was asked, don't chase rabbits!

#4 Summarize what you said at the end.

#5 Be sincere and confident! This is what the Judges are looking for - not
necessarily your answer, but the confidence is which you say it --

SO , say it, believe it, be passionate about, smile and step away as if you
have already won - because you may have!!!!
