Beavers
Beavers are the largest rodents in the northern hemisphere. They can weigh over 90 pounds. The beavers body is covered with a thick waterproof fur. The beavers tale is a rudder when the animal is in the water and it acts as a counterpoise on land. Much like the kangaroo. This critter can stay under water for over 15 minutes. These fellows can live as long as 30 years. Of course the teeth are its trademark, they are capable of cutting down a tree that is 6 feet in circumference. Man is the Beavers greatest enemy.
