Bella Sara Trading Cards

This is for people interested in Bella Sara Trading Cards. They are great cards for kids. They have pictures of horses on them and offer inspirational words.

Each card comes with a code that the child can enter in at the Bella Sara website: www.bellasara.com. This will allow them to add that horse into their stables and take care of that horse. The website also offers a variety of games to play.

Currently there is the first series set of 55 cards, plus 9 foils. These serve as the base set. Then there is the expansion set, simply called the Second Series. This set has a total of 97 cards, plus 17 foils.

Just release in July there is a new expansion set - Northern Lights. The set has 72 cards with 17 of them being foils. The card set has cards of Nordic and Celtic design.

You can play lots of games with Bella Sara cards!

Bella Sara cards allow children to play a several different games. Each booster pack comes with a card that gives direction on a game that can be played. Below are the list of games you can play.

Leonardo's Game

Players: 2 to 6
Horse Cards: 20 per player

Set-Up: Stack your cards facedown. You can have more than one of the same card in your stack.

Play: Draw 7 cards from your stack into your hand. The oldest player player turns over the top card of his stack to start a face-up playing pile in front of him. The player to his left looks for a card in her hand that has either the same number of symbols or the same kind of symbols as the that card. She plays her card faceup in her own playing pile.

Example: If Peter plays a card with 2 hoursehoes, then Gitte can play any card with horseshoes or any card with 2 symbols. If Gitte doesn't have a matchingn card, she must draw a card from her stack into her hand. If that card matches, she may play it. If it doesn't match, her turn ends.

Play continues to the left, with each player trying to match the last card played. Players have separate playing piles so their cards don't get mixed together.

Winning: The first player to play the last card in her hand wins!

Bella's Game

Players: 1
Horse Cards: 4 or more

Play: Mix the cards and arrange them, picture side down, in front of you. Sit still and relax. When you are ready, take a card. Take time to look at the picture and read the text. The horse's message can be helpful for you. It can help you to think positive, peaceful, and loving thoughts toward yourself and other people. Let these positive thoughts stay with you in everything you do.

Moonlight's Game

Players: 2 to 4
Horse Cards: 4 to 20 per player

Setup: Stack your cards facedown. You can have more than one of the same card in your stack.

Play: All players turn their top card faceup at the same time. Look at everyone's cards. If your card has the same number of symbols of the same kind of symbols as another player's card, tap the table. The first player to tap wins the round and starts a face-up bonus pile.

Example: If your card has 3 hearts and another card has 3 moons, tap the table. If your card has 3 hearts and another card has 1 heart, tap the table.

Players keep separate bonus piles to their cards don't get mixed together. When anyone has played all his cards, everyone shuffles their stacks. (Don't shuffle your bonus piles.) Continue to play with your shuffle stacks.

Winning: Once any player has gone through her stacks three times, count the symbols on the cards in your bonus pile. The player with the most symbols wins!

Go Fish - Use the symbols on the cards to play a game of go fish.

Memory - The symbols on the cards can be used to play memory.

Most of all use your imagination. Kids are great about making up games to play with their cards.

Cards for sale!

One way to buy your cards are thru the booster packs at the store. General price is $1.99. However as you get down to just need a few cards to complete a set, it may be wiser to shop online for the specific card you need.

I have a store on e-bay that offers a variety of Bella Sara cards for sale. Below is a sample of some of the cards. Go to North Cascade Trading Company to view all my cards (along with some other odds and ends). Buy more than one card and save! Shipping and handling for the first card is $1.25 and any addition card is only 20 cents!

WARNING!! If you decide to buy online from an auction house, make sure the codes are not visible in the picture. If it is, there is a very good chance the code will not work once you receieve it.
