My recent interaction with Belugas!!!
Ranked #14,780 in Pets & Animals, #400,671 overall
Beluga Whale Training
You start off by going into a classroom backstage and learning about the belugas and meeting the trainers. You get a short course on the do's and don'ts and your off to change into a wetsuit. Once suited up it's off to the pool. I would suggest saving this for the summer though, because the water is kept around 50 degrees for belugas. So while it was in the upper 70's the water was still freezing!!! You step onto the stage area as they call where the water is about 3 ft. deep and you begin learning how to tell the whales what you want them to do. I got to do about eighteen different commands with 3 different belugas, well four if you count ones 18 month old son who stayed right by her side.
Of course I got to feed them fish and give them back, fin, head, and tail massages as a reward for doing what I asked of them. Then you get to actually float on your back with them while holding on to their fin and you float on your stomach with them while holding on to head. You finish up with the photographer and get your pictures of shaking fins, waving bye, getting a hug and kiss, and just posing next to a 2200 lb. whale.
After the excitement is over they provide you with a shower to get cleaned up and time to answer any further questions you might have. I would strongly recommend this to everyone it was so awesome!!! I am so glad to have started my own business so I had the time to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opprotunity. To find out more about my business go to easiestbusinessinabox.com
Floating with a 2200 lb. Beluga
Amazing
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to float along side a 2200 pound whale? Well I don't anymore check out this pic. Yes, that really is me floating with a beluga whale. Her name is Martha and she was as sweet as can be. Sweetest kiss ever
Aww
As you can see Martha is very photogenic. She loves all the attention and can't seem to get enough back rubs. If only she knew just how great it was to have the chance to be there with her. Lookin to do a little reading?
Let me suggest a few.
You have to check this out

- Thank you for your comments. I would love to put more of my pics on here, however, I don't know how to add them without adding a new test module. I am interested in learning so any help you can give me is greatly appreciated.

- What great photos! I love this lens because many years ago my daughter did a similar thing called "Trainer for a Day" at Sea World in Orlando! It was her present for her 13th birthday and she loved it!!! I hope you will add more larger photos...

- Welcome to the group, "Down by the Seaside!"
P.S. The text module just before the Amazon module has no picture, even though you refer to a picture of you and a whale (which is great...I saw it on another one of your lenses), and I would recommend giving the module a name, because it shows up as "Text module." And a picture at the beginning of your lens in the Introductory module, would be great! It lets people know what you're talking about before they even read your lens.
I'm glad you had a great time with the whales! Sounds like lots of fun.

Great Beluga whale Stuff on eBay
Baby Beluga!
Baby Beluga (Seaworld Library)
Amazon Price: $3.86 (as of 05/26/2012)![]()
I choose this book because I fell it is important to educate children from a young age on all different kinds of animals. Another reason is that it is actually a Sea World book and I feel it really goes with my page since my interaction was also a part of Sea World.
