Beryl was a renowned self taught artist originally from Epsom in Surrey, Beryl moved to Plymouth Devon around 1963 where she began to paint seriously.
In 1975 Bernard Samuels of the Plymouth Art Centre persuaded Beryl to have an exhibition. This resulted in a cover feature in the Sunday Times Magazine and the rest as they say is history!
Famed for her larger than life paintings of people characters and places.
With a wicked sense of humour and an eye for observation of the real world and peoples expressions, Beryls paintings strike a chord with most people.
Beryl Cooks works and prints are now much sought after and some people consider them a good investment.
