I had earlier written a lens on the subject (Top 100 Foreign Films - Part 1), and here I come back again with many more foreign movies that I have watched since then and the saga continues. Thanks for being here today. I hope you will read till the end of the list, and I hope you will enjoy it.

The Battleship Potemkin, sometimes rendered as The Battleship Potyomkin, is a 1925 silent film directed by Sergei Eisenstein and produced by Mosfilm. It presents a dramatised version of the mutiny that occurred in 1905 when the crew of the Russian battleship Potemkin rebelled against their officers of the Tsarist regime.

Stalker
Director: Andrei Tarkovsky Cast: Aleksandr Kaidanovsky, Alisa Frejndlikh, Anatoli Solonitsyn
Stalker is a 1979 science fiction film directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, with a screenplay written by Boris and Arkady Strugatsky, loosely based on their novel Roadside Picnic. It depicts an expedition led by the Stalker (guide) Alexander Kaidanovsky to bring his two clients to a site known as "the Zone", which has the supposed potential to fulfill a person's innermost desires.

Shower is an award-winning 1999 Chinese drama / comedy film directed by Zhang Yang and starring Zhu Xu, Pu Cunxin and Jiang Wu. It premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on 14 September 1999 and won the FIPRESCI Prize.

Shall We Dance? is a 1996 award - winning Japanese film. Its original Japanese title is Shall We Dansu? which refers to the to the song, "Shall We Dance", played many times in the film, in Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, which is referenced by Tamako Tamura in the film.

Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors, also called Shadows of Our Forgotten Ancestors, Shadows of Our Ancestors, or Wild Horses of Fire - is a 1964 film by the Soviet-Armenian filmmaker Sergei Parajanov based on the book by Ukrainian writer Mykhailo Kotsiubynsky. The film was Parajanov's first major work and earned him international acclaim for its rich use of costume and color.

A Story of Floating Weeds is a 1934 silent film directed by Yasujiro Ozu which he later remade as Floating Weeds in 1959 in colour. The film includes the first appearance of what became one of the director's trademarks: a title sequence in which the credits appear against a sackcloth backdrop.

Throne of Blood is a 1957 film directed by Akira Kurosawa, which transposes the plot of William Shakespeare's play Macbeth to feudal Japan. It is regarded as one of Kurosawa's best films, and by many critics as one of the best film adaptations of Macbeth, despite having almost none of the play's script.

Ugetsu is a 1953 Japanese film directed by Kenji Mizoguchi. Set in 16th century Japan, it stars Masayuki Mori and Machiko Kyo, and is inspired by short stories by Ueda Akinari and Guy de Maupassant. It is one of Mizoguchi's most celebrated films, regarded by critics as a masterwork of Japanese cinema.

- Great lens, but I shall have to check out Part 1 to see if you have Pan's Labyrinth, M and Angel-A listed - apart from that you have a lot of my favourite foreign films (the classier ones, anyway, I wasn't expecting to see Robo-Geisha or Evil To Kako).

- Why doesn't it surprise me to see another great foreign film lens...I remember seeing a Japanese movie named Dunes or Sand Dunes, it was really good.

- Great list. I read part 1 and got worried when I didn't see Tarkovsky, but sure enough there he is. Do you consider A Touch of Zen important? I've always loved Hu's work. There are some things here that I definitely want to see.

Knife in the Water (Polish: Nu017C w wodzie) is a 1962 film directed by Roman Polanski. It features only three characters and deals with rivalry and sexual tension, and is Polanski's directorial debut.
In the Mood for Love ("The Age of Blossoms") is a Chinese metaphor for the fleeting time of youth, beauty and love) is a 2000 Hong Kong film directed by Wong Kar-wai, starring Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung.
Hero is a 2002 Chinese wuxia film, directed by Zhang Yimou with music by Tan Dun. Starring Jet Li as the nameless protagonist, the movie is loosely based on the legendary Jing Ke.
The Burmese Harp is a 1956 black-and-white Japanese film directed by Kon Ichikawa. It was based on a children's novel written by Michio Takeyama. The film was nominated for the 1957 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
