There are two basic rules when taking care of oily skin:
1. Cleansing
2. moisturizing

They are both equally important. Not washing or moisturizing your face for even one night can lead to breakouts and blackheads.

Cleanse your face twice a day with a mild cleanser. Don't ever go to sleep without cleansing your face, it will only make your pores clog and create "black heads" or pimples. Keeping your face clean is the best thing you can do for oily skin. But i want to make myself clear (just a word game:) - wash twice a day but not more then that. But as i said before, do not delusion yourself, it will only make your skin to produce even more oil.

when you pick moisturizer, the first thing you should look for is the oily skin tag. You should also look for the oil-free tag.
Good oily skin moisturizers are water based and some of them are even called gel moisturizers because they are lighter than the ordinary face cream and have more water in them.
