Moisturizer For Oily Skin
Oily skin needs special care. This type of skin tends to get greasy and shiny, the pores tend to be large and open, mainly in the t-zone area (forehead, nose and chin). The excessive oil production causes the skin to look dirty, tired and unattractive.
The good thing is, that this type of skin age better, the oil protects the skin and lubricate it, which means that as you get older, your skin would look younger than it should have been. So keep in mind that there are actually good things in having oily skin.
Nevertheless, it's important to remove that excess oil on a daily basis, in a way that will not dry out your skin and will not strip away the oil that the skin needs. This is how...
Two Basic Rules Of Oily Skin Care
Best Moisturizers For Oily Skin
1. Cleansing
2. moisturizing
They are both equally important. Not washing or moisturizing your face for even one night can lead to breakouts and blackheads.
Rule Number 1 - Cleansing
Keep you face clean
Cleanse your face twice a day with a mild cleanser. Don't ever go to sleep without cleansing your face, it will only make your pores clog and create "black heads" or pimples. Keeping your face clean is the best thing you can do for oily skin. But i want to make myself clear (just a word game:) - wash twice a day but not more then that. Washing your face too many times will make it dry and will wash away the oils that the skin needs to protect itself and the result would be just the opposite, the skin will produce even more oil than before - so don't over wash! Rule Number 2 - Moisturizing
Don't Ever Leave Your Skin Bare
How to Choose A Moisturizer For Oily Skin?
Best Moisturizer For Oily Skin
Good oily skin moisturizers are water based and some of them are even called gel moisturizers because they are lighter than the ordinary face cream and have more water in them.
I recommend the gel type moisturizers, they are most suitable for oily skin, they are lighter and absorb easily.

Oil Control Products
Best Moisturizer For Oily Skin
If you use foundation, you should look for a water based foundation. If you are using for example normal to dry foundation, you will not see the difference because it contains oil and it will make your face oily and shiny. Use foundations for oily skin, which are light, oil-free and control shine.

- Nice lens, good information. I agree with Sarah that even with an oily complexion to much cleansing strips the natural oils and causes the skin to feel tight and dry, which then forces the glands to produce more oil.

- I have oily skin, and if I used moisturizer all the time I'd be a mess.
If you have oily skin that feels tight and dry after you are washing your face, your cleanser is too harsh, and you need to get a milder cleanser.
If you wash all of the oil off your face, to the point where your skin is dry and tight, your skin produces more oil, which of course, isn't what you want.
