The Hows and Whys of It:
What criteria did I use to choose these games?
Everybody chooses their favorites based on many things. You may be asking how I chose the games I did. If you are one of those people asking that question, than here is the answer:
1.) First off the game must be fun to play, and not only fun to play the first time, but fun to play over and over again, even years later. My list includes a mix of the newset games out today as well as games that I played as a kid in the 1980's. I chose them because they are just plain fun to play.
2.) Secondly, I tend to stay away from the more violent games, prefering in most cases games that are rated "E". I think only a few on my list are rated "T". I like games that the whole family can enjoy. As such, most of the games on my list can and often are, accused of being "cute and cuddlely". Everything on my list is kid safe and child friendly.
3.) Multi-player functions are important to me as I prefer games that you can play together as a family. I believe that video games can be used to as a family night activity and thus choose games that young and old alike can enjoy playing together. While a few of the games on my list are one-player only games, about 3/4 of this list features games with multi-player function.
