An autoresponder is a piece of software that captures email addresses, then automatically sends pre-written messages from you to prospective or current customers. These messages can be plain text or html based to add graphics and images.


How Does An Autoresponder Work? 

Your autoresponder will generate a form for you to put on your website. This form asks for a name and email address. Once submitted, the autoresponder send a confirmation email to the new subcriber (as well as an email to you). That person is now added to your email list. Pre-written messages will now be sent to the email addresses on your list at pre-determined intervals. (Every day, every 3 days, etc.) In addition, you may send a "blast" to your entire email list at any time.
