While i was touching lately on Making money online with video programs like Flixya and MediaFlix. There is a group of people that i have neglected, and those who are in the picture industry deserves something to talk about.

Brring! Brring! Make Money with Phone Calls

Making money online is pretty easy but those who have made the mega-bucks doing it are the people who have managed to successfully bring their online knowledge into the offline world.

For example, consider affiliate marketing - the great part about doing it online is that you can reach literally millions of people with the click of a button but the downside is that most of them won't trust you enough to actually make a purchase or sign-up to anything. On the flip side, earning commissions offline only lets you reach a small number of people but it's exponentially easier to build trust and make the sale.

Hence, I was extremely interested when I heard about a service called Brring!

Brring is a new service that gives you a personal phone number to give out which forwards to your real phone number. The difference between Bring! and a normal call forwarding service is that you make money whenever some calls your Bring! number.

How does Brring! work? Brring places an ad on your line which is played when someone calls you. Each ad is about 10 seconds long. According to the Brring! FAQ, you'll typically receive around $0.05 per ad played but some ads can earn up to $1. Right now they have a special on where you receive $1 for the first 10 calls you receive!

Brring! helps you make money by playing an ad to a caller when they call you on your phone.

How it works is that when you sign-up with Brring!, you'll be given a unique phone number which you can then give out to people. When they call that number, they'll hear a short 10-second ad before being redirected to your regular number and connected to you.

When the caller first dials the Brring! number they'll connect to Brring! and hear the ad. Once the ad is finished, they'll be connected to your regular number to talk to you.

You still get to keep your regular number and if you don't want some people (like your boss) to hear an ad, you can just give them your regular number and they'll connect to you directly like a usual call.

Brring's Features Brring! offers many useful features you can use to customize your account. For example, you can choose which area code you'd prefer to have for your new number. Currently the area codes offered are for American cities. They do take requests for other area codes if you want to have the same one as your local number. Just for fun, I chose to have a 212 area code on my line (New York).

You can also customize the ring tone your callers will hear after the ad is played while calling you. You can upload your own custom MP3 with your choice of music, or maybe even a simple message saying, "Please wait while your call is connecting to me%u2026" in your own personal voice.

They also offer an affiliate program which pays $1 per sign up. You could sell this idea to a group of friends offline and have all of them sign up under you, then you could all call each other at make money together.

If each of them were to then get 5 referrals each, there would 300 people joined and Brring! would send a check to the fundraising group for $300.

This could be a moneymaker

The downside to the system is obviously that your friends may get a little annoyed at hearing ads whenever they call you and they may stop calling. However, I see other potential uses for the program.

If you're like me, your name and phone number has somehow found itself on some annoying telemarketer's list which then got sold to someone else and you now receive quite a few annoying phone calls from people trying to sell you vacations and timeshare apartments.
