Best Vacation Places for Families in the Bahamas Part One

Paradise Island features a one of the best family vacation destinations you could find, and it's not too hard to get there from Florida. It's the Atlantis Resort. Make yourself at home in one of The Reef Atlantis suites that come with kitchens that are fully-equipped. Buying some food for your suite and eating some of your meals there will keep more money in your pocket for other things.

You'll find plenty of family-friendly attractions to keep everyone happy and entertained during your stay at the Atlantis Resort. This is one of the best vacation places for families in the Bahamas because of the many choices there are. Spend an entire day soaking in the sun & playing in the water at Waterscape. This is a 97-acre water world with waterfalls, pools, and aquariums full of marine life.

Water Adventure
Looking to add some adventure to your trip? There are several enormous water slides that are sure to get your adrenaline going, great for the adults and older kids. First, there's the Power Tower found in AquaAdventure. Choose from four slides that stand 120 feet above the ground. Pick The Abyss if you want to get your heart pounding by flying through the darkness on a 50 foot drop. Or charge through a shark infested lagoon at the bottom of a 60-foot drop at Mayan Temple (don't worry; you're in a clear tube that is built into the lagoon). You can find Mayan Temple near the Royal Towers, and it's not difficult to find since it stands at five stories tall. These are only a couple examples of the adventurous water attractions found here.

Calmer Waters
If you're not up for the thrill-seeker rides, that's ok too. You can always relax on a river float, wade in the swimming pools, or lounge on the sandy beach. The Atlantis wouldn't be on the list for best vacation places for families in the Bahamas if there wasn't fun for the younger ones%u2026 there's also a kid's pool and even a baby pool. Waterfalls abound around the area, and the kids will have fun in their own waterplay area called Splashers. There they'll be laughing for hours squirting each other with the squirters, sliding down the slides, and exploring all the fun little contraptions built into this kid's water-filled paradise.

There are plenty of cool eating places that cater to putting a smile on your little one's faces, and aquariums to explore full of ocean life. Find out more about The Atlantis Resort and I'm sure you'll agree it's one of the best vacation places for families in the Bahamas.
