Here are my top metal guitars #6 - #10:
#6 - Ibanez S520
What makes the Ibanez S design special is its thin mahogany body. This is something rare in the more popular RG series, but it's the norm for the S series. Also, the floating bridge that Ibanez uses for the S series, the Zero Resistance, is much better than the ones used in the RG guitars.
This combination of a thin mahogany body, the Zero Resistance bridge and a super thin Wizard neck make this guitar a very dangerous metal machine.

#7 - Gibson SG Faded
Regardless of which sub-genre of heavy metal you play this guitar is a great choice. What makes this guitar so good is that unknown characteristic that makes SG's scream, that flat piece of mahogany is very unassuming. For a classic metal sound the stock pickups are way above average. For more extreme sounds the price of the guitar makes buying new pickups a viable option. The neck is on the thick side, but not all metal is about shredding.

#8 - Ibanez RG420
I've owned a few Ibanez RG guitars in the past and I love the way they play. They tend to make you focus more on your technique which is not bad for metal. But the sound and overall feel of the RG design can be a bit too technical for me. Except when they feature a mahogany body like the RG420. This feature is a big plus for me, it gives the guitar a quality in the sound that I like a lot.

#9 - Epiphone Les Paul Zakk Wylde
Forget everything I've said about light bodies and thin necks. This guitar is the opposite of all that. This might be the heaviest guitar I've ever played.Compared to other Les Paul guitars this one has some features that make it unique. Like a maple neck and EMG passive pickups. The finishes are exclusive as well.
But please make sure that you're strong enough before you decide to play this guitar standing up for a couple of hours!

#10 - Jackson DKMG
This guitar is very popular, its most notable feature is the compounded radius of the neck. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the Dinky series. For my style the string picking area seems a little cramped.I'm not a big fan of the look of the Dinky neck either. The reason I like this particular one, call me shallow, is because of the reverse headstock.
