Free Golf Lesson: Better Course Management Can Lead To Lower Scores

Do you need a little help on improving your game? No matter how good a golfer is, they can always improve certain aspects of their game. They undertake regular golf lessons, whether it's to improve their swing, increase consistency of their shots, increase accuracy. Whatever it is the tips, drills, and instructions below will have you on your way to improving your game, so read through them, there's some great pointers available here.

No matter if you have just begun to learn how to play golf or if you have been playing for a long time, the following article will improve your game no end.

I know you want your score to drop a lot, and I know how you can do this. You should start hitting your 150 yard clubs very well indeed.

Once you begin to hit your 150 clubs extremely well. (by well, I mean, you can consistently hit the green from 150 yards away consistently, no matter what condition you are in.)

Firstly, you should get to the point in your game where you can hit the short irons well and on a consistent basis. This is simple. Anyone can hit the ball 150 yards, as it's not that far away, and plus, the greens are a lot bigger nowadays anyway. If the short irons aren't your easiest club to hit then they should be. If you find them hard to use, you should really put in the time so they aren't hard for you.

Once you have come to terms with the short irons and mastered them fully, most other shots are but a simple adjustment. Your swing should be perfected, so all you have to do now is takeaway or add a club to vary distances.

Secondly, you have to design your game to work around your perfected 150 yard shot.

For example purposes you're on a 400 yard, 4 par hole. Now you have that 150 yard perfected shot in your arsenal, you should make it to the green in just three shots.

Now take time to think about this....This is something you wouldn't normally do but just give it a whirl. If your 150 yard shot, you will use it off the tee, and then you would use it again for your second shot. You should then be around 100 yards away from the hole with your short iron on the fairway.

This is a good position for you to be in, and it's what course management should all be about. Better still, if your 150 yard shot is perfected, your 100 yard shot is likely to be a lot easier and will work a lot better for you.

This can work even if you get into trouble off the tee. All you have to do then is lay it onto the fairway so your next shot would be 150 yard from the green. This will help your golf game a lot. You will then be on in three and you will be putting for par or making a two putt for bogey.

You should always start off with the small clubs and master them first of all. Then you simply build up your game around that. If you do this and get used to it you won't have to struggle with all those other awkward shots like chipping, bunker shots, and all those other tricky shots that make the game of golf so frustrating to the beginner.

If you can master this from the off, you will have taken a big stride into lowering your scores. With that basis down you can then move onto mastering the driver, and putting.

Now, I know how simple all of that sounds, but it can in fact be just that simple if you can make the 150 yard shot work for you. I can be sure that if you have that in the bag, you will be playing the best golf of your life.
