Pointers to Better Flash Photography
I'm still learning and I probably will still be learning for the next few years. It's easy to learn a few tricks, but it takes experience to handle awkward situations, e.g. wanting to capture a certain image but not having the standard kit, so how do you improvise.
As well as links to some of the best static articles, I've included the excerpts only from a few RSS feeds. The best advice I can give is go to those sites and read the articles themselves; the articles belong on those sites....so go there now.
Want more detail on the kit you can use, then have a look at Flash Photography Equipment.
Or my own take on smaller scale photos using common, everyday objects.

Flashguns are great as is Image Stabilisation in lenses or in camera. Both allow you to shoot darker subjects, but which is best?
I know my view but I'm curious to hear yours.
I'll check the blurbs every day or so, so no worries if your blurb doesn't appear straightaway.
Which is more useful Flash or Image Stabilisation?

Flashgun
audiocloth says:
the flashgun is better as you can affect the light. With the image stabilisation, all you get is a sharper image of the source. If the source is badly lit, then it will just be a sharper, badly lit image. Whereas flash allows you to get sharp and create an image.
