You don't hear much about custom chopper builder Billy Lane, lately. Then again, he's not doing much lately - at least not much involving public life.
On August 14, 2009, Billy Lane was found guilty of Vehicular Manslaughter and sentenced to six years of jail time. Billy had a reputation for wild and reckless behavior, both on the roads and off. He's expressed, what seems to be, genuine repentance and a willingness to help others to avoid making some of the mistakes that he's made.
A life turned around? I hope so. We miss you Billy.

- Nice Lens! I have not herd that name in a while and now I know why. Definitely one of the most innovative bike builders and hopefully Billy will come out and get back in to the game.

- On Facebook choppers inc is live the family runs it I believe his sister they also update his date of release which changes month to month with time off for good behavior and they also have an adress to write Billy and if yo send a SASE he will write you back, just thought you might like the info. Great Lens

- What a wicked twist of fate that the accident he was involved in winds up killing a motorcyclist. I don't know the whole story, but I agree with Ginger that this must weigh very heavy on him. I also agree that the sentence does seem a little light for vehicular manslaughter, but that could be the norm, I'm not an expert of the law by any stretch!
