The Western 1917: Captain Blackadder, hero of Mboto Gorge, joined the British Army when it was little more than a travel agency for gentlemen with an abnormally high sex drive. Now he finds himself crammed into a sewer, twenty yards from a lot of heavily armed people who want to kill him. Worse still he takes orders from two homicidal maniacs-one called the Charge of the Light Brigade 'a victory for common sense', and the other called kevin.

CAPTAIN COOK:
When General Haig unveils his new strategy to move his drinks cabinet six inches closer to Berlin, Blackadder volunteers to be Official War Artist.

Orders for Operation insanity arrive and Blackadder Breaches regulations by eating the messenger-General Melchett's closest boyhood friend. Can the Flanders pigeon Murderer avoid the firing squad?

MAJOR STAR:
Blackadder's nipples are already being used for target practice when the Russian Revolution produces two more appalling results: an offensive by Germany and a really offensive Charlie Chaplin impressionby Baldrick.

PRIVATE PLANE:
German machine guns in front, British firing squads behind-the only way out is up tiddly-up-up.

GENERAL HOSPITAL:
The secret of the Great Plan (to slaughter everyone except General Haig, Lady Haig and their tortise Allen) is out. Ordered to find the spy in the hospital, Blackadder spots a man with a strong German accent, a beautiful nurse and a chance to spend three weeks in bed.

GOODBYEEE:
Millions have died but the troops have advanced no further than an asthmatic ant with some heavy shopping. Now at last the final big push looms...so with the help of two pencils and a pair of underpants, Blackadder goes stir-fry crazy.
