The Honda CBR 1100 Blackbird.

The Honda CBR 1100 Blackbird is a sport-touring motorcycle built by Honda. It combines big engine power,easy operational error-tolerance and touring comfort. The Honda Blackbird production started in 1997 and is still currently running. In the United States,the motorcycle was sold as the CBR-1100XX.

The Honda Blackbird was the result of Honda's attempt to build the world's fastest production motorcycle, stealing the crown from Kawasaki. Its name is a nod to the Lockheed SR-71, once the world's fastest aircraft. The aerodynamic nose design of the Hond Blackbird is based on that of the aircraft.

"The Honda CBR 1100 Blackbird is an exquisite motorcycle.It is a bike that you have to love from the start.It has so much to give and asks for very little in return. The one thing it does not give is feedback. This I found to be a risk factor as the bike is so smooth that you sometimes lose sight of the speed you actually travel through bends and mountain passes".

"The bikes handling and power ratio is excellent for its weight and size".

"The bike in general is the best on the market for scratching in the mountain passes, riding long distances to rallies and events, or to the office in heavy traffic. No matter where the Blackbird goes it is treated with respect. . . . . .and deserves it".

The first thing about the Blackbird to notice is the weight; more precisely, the fact that it doesn't feel like a heavy bike.
Hit the open road and open the throttle and you realise you're sitting on a rocket with wheels. It is very smooth and even in delivery".
