To start with, Blue Screen of Death is the most common problem that most of the computer users face. Whether it is a windows or a Mac, this error creates a lot of problems for users.

Now before discussing how to solve a Blue Screen of Death, what exactly is this error and what actually causes this error?. Blue Screen or Stop error can be a result of various issues. The most common of all the issues are :

When a blue screen of death is displayed then it contains the error information that causes this error. This is actually written to a dump file by windows including all the details regarding the error. Windows automatically restarts your computer after creating a memory dump file once this error has occurred to prevent any damage to the system.

The issues for Blue screen are pretty clearly mentioned above. Most of the times the reason is Faulty device driver or a memory problem. 

Now that we know the cause of such errors, let us take a look how to such solve this issue. The error can easily identified by noting the information that is displayed on the screen when one encounters this error. Now this may be a difficult task as most of the times the screen is displayed only for 1 or 2 seconds. Here is where you face the problem. Well, there is a solution to this if you have your windows loading. 

If your system is showing bsod during normal startup, then try booting windows in safe mode. The safe mode of windows loads only the drivers that are required to start basic windows services only. If you have installed a driver software that is causing the bsod then try booting into the safe mode to get the details of the error. After logging into safe mode Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> and then go to Event Viewer. The event Viewer records all the information regarding the various errors in your computer. In the event viewer locate for the error and then note down the details regarding the error and try doing a google search by entering the error codes into google. 

You can also identify the exact error causing the problem. In the error page locate for a file with .sys extension. If the name of the driver is displayed in the error log then note down and find the error. Then uninstall the driver from your system and then restart your system. If the problem persists then it is  recommended to check for the memory in the system. 

To check your memory remove all your memory sticks and then insert only one stick, and try booting your computer. Normally if there is no fault with your hardware the computer will boot properly without any error in it. If you get an error then the ram is faulty. Replace it with a new one.
